Question 5 favorites from Seeds

nothing happening here while rehearsals are going on, so i'm stealing an idea from SN board. although we did analyze SWS in many different days in the past i don't think this was one of them, since i think i might be able to pick 5 favorites and i've always had hard time picking less, just so many great songs there.

pick 5 of your favorite songs from Seeds We Sow, amazon and itunes exclusives included:

"Seeds We Sow"
"In Our Own Time"
"Illumination"
"That's the Way Love Goes"
"Stars Are Crazy"
"When She Comes Down"
"Rock Away Blind"
"One Take"
"Gone Too Far"
"End of Time"
"She Smiled Sweetly"
"End of Time" (acoustic) - Amazon MP3 download
"Seeds We Sow" (electric) - Amazon MP3 download
"Sleeping Around the Corner" - iTunes download

When I first heard SWS, I immediately loved "Stars Are Crazy"and "Rock Away Blind". The other songs took a few listens to grow on me. In rounding out my top 5 favorites, I'd add, "In Our Own Time", "Illumination",and "End of Time". I don't think I will ever care for "When She Comes Down" or the title track.

Rock Away Blind - favorite LB song of all time
In Our Own Time
Illumination
That's The Way Love Goes
Sleeping Around the Corner (this must be just a write in because of poll limitations? So I only picked 4 above.)

decided to add a poll - you can pick as many songs as you like in the poll, more or less than 5. just mark whichever songs you love.

i'm curious whether multiple choice poll will give us different results than when we were choosing only one favorite song, and so many people were listing 3 or 4 in their explanations.

unfortunately poll has only 10 spaces max, so i had to lump together SWS acoustic and electric (i guess the same for EOT but unlike SWS, there's barely any difference between 2 EOT versions), not list SATC, and skip RS cover She Smiled Sweetly.

i did vote for SWS among others, but my vote goes for electric version. although i love concert version of the acoustic SWS, the acoustic album version does nothing for me.

Acoustic version of SWS.

I loved a lot! Not as fond of One Take or Illumination.

I like all of those songs. Almost everything would be a favorite except SWS acoustic (love electric) and She Smiled Sweetly.

right? i'm still overwhelmed every time i listen to SWS how many great songs, each of which can stand on its own, are on this album. including exclusive downloads (which he still never made available outside US ).

Stars, When She Comes Down, and End of Time are the 3 songs i can take or leave.

and agree, She Smiled Sweetly on the album is not nearly as gorgeous as the original GOS1 version was. (hope he doesn't do similar treatment - or worse - to Deep Dense when he eventually decides to release it officially ).

1. Seeds We Sow (Acoustic)
2. When she Comes Down.
3. That's the Way Love Goes
4. Illumination
5. Rock Away Blind.

However....just to clarify. I think SWS is one of his weaker efforts. Rehash-mania

you don't have to, pick just the ones you love

just fyi to everybody: you can vote for all songs you love in the poll if you want to (like all 7 in WH's case) - poll is not limited to 5.

Smileys indicate my top 6 (I can't narrow it to 5, sorry).
RAB is my very favorite.
I LOVE both versions of SWS.
No smiley doesn't mean I don't still love it...just that I don't love it as much.

"Seeds We Sow"
"In Our Own Time"
"Illumination"
"That's the Way Love Goes"
"Stars Are Crazy"
"When She Comes Down"
"Rock Away Blind"
"One Take" ... Me grinning, every time I hear this solo.
"Gone Too Far" ...I like the lyrics a lot, but still this is the weakest link for me.
"End of Time"
"She Smiled Sweetly"
"End of Time" (acoustic) - Amazon MP3 download
"Seeds We Sow" (electric) - Amazon MP3 download
"Sleeping Around the Corner" - iTunes download
