That does look pretty packed. What's the capacity? I'm interested to see if she's getting a much bigger audience than she did for the IYD tour. It sure looks like she is.

I must say, the set list looks pretty good, but of course the DJ in me thinks it could have been sequenced better. I have watched a few clips. Crying in the Night and Wild Heart sound good to these ears. I agree with the one fan that Enchanted is taking up space. With the inclusion of Starshine, we don't need Enchanted, as they are similar sounding songs. I saw a clip of Gold and Braid and while there is a warmth to it (like seeing an old friend that you haven't seen in a long time) it just doesn't have the punch a good opener needs. The song is better suited in the #2 or #3 slot (depending on what song it is following). Outside the Rain has been built up over the years to be this grand opening, so now to have it later in the set just seems less impressive. Perhaps just drop it unless it is used as the opener. Also, I can't remember if Stevie said she was going to represent ALL of her solo albums, but obviously that isn't the case. I would have liked to have seen a few more choices from other albums. I'm sure we've all heard by now the Street Angel bootleg tour rehearsals featuring Long Way To Go and Ooh My Love, which sound fantastic. So with all of that said, I just couldn't resist coming up with what I think would have been a better set list. This is realistic and totally doable for Stevie.

01. Starshine
02. Dreams
03. Gold and Braid
04. Long Way To Go
05. Leather and Lace
06. The Dealer (swap out with Belle Fleur at various shows)
07. If Anyone Falls
08. Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
09. 24 Karat Gold
10. Sorcerer (feat. Marilyn Martin) *
11. Moonlight
12. Wild Heart / Bella Donna
13. Crying in the Night
14. Stand Back
15. Ooh My Love

16. Edge of Seventeen

17. Rhiannon
18. Carousel

* I would like to see this in the 1984 Street of Fire arrangement. She could bring Marilyn center stage with her and sing it as a duet. Sharon and Lori have been showcased plenty over the years, no reason she can't do the same for Marilyn.

She is still the hero that I have always needed her to be in that she always has been and as we all know heroes are hard to find :-)
Great review!

Wow, I was sure we'd see 24 Karat Gold included. Especially in light of the tour name. Maybe something about it didn't work out live. I'm still excited though. We'll see if things stay the same between now and my show next month.

That's interesting - I also agree that Starshine would make a really upbeat, attention grabbing opener.

The encore isn't exactly upbeat either - Rhiannon is not the alimighty tour de force it once was, so I would rejig things a little bit.

Using Stevie's song choices, I would do something like this:

1. Starshine
2. Enchanted
3. Gold & Braid
4. Belle Fleur
5. Outside The Rain/Dreams
6. Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around
7. Wild Heart
8. Bella Donna
9. Annabel Lee
10. If Anyone Falls
11. New Orleans
12. Moonlight
13. Stand Back
14. Cryin in the Night
15. If You Were my Love
16. Rhiannon
17. Edge of Seventeen

Encore

18. Gold Dust Woman
19. Leather and Lace

Still holding out hope that "Rooms on Fire" shows up eventually, but I won't hold my breath.

Super excited the "Belle Fleur" made the cut though!!!

I dunno, it seems like the alternating setlist might actually be a thing. There are only a couple of songs from 24K Gold, which doesn't seem to be Stevie's MO in recent years. It's certainly a more daring set than she's done in a long time. I'm sorry I won't be able to see her on this tour.

Good for Stevie for taking some risks. I never thought she'd drop the long solos, Edge Walk, and throw in some really deep cuts.
