Default Behind the Mask singles

Checking the Wikipedia page of this album, the singles they released were (with peak positions):

"Save Me" US Adult Contemporary 6
US Mainstream Rock Tracks 3
US Billboard Hot 100 33
UK Singles Chart 53
"Skies the Limit" US Adult Contemporary 10
US Mainstream Rock Tracks 40
"In the Back of My Mind" UK Singles Chart 58
"Hard Feelings" US Adult Contemporary -
"Love Is Dangerous" US Mainstream Rock Tracks 7

In Peru I only heard Save Me on radios. And its video too in TV, and only the Skies video in TV. No other single. How did other singles do in your hometown?

In the States, the response to this album was lukewarm at best. To some, it represents and artistic low point for the band. No major big hit singles.

I heard Save Me quite often on local radio (at the time, the nearest radio station to me was in West Virginia). I saw the video on TV a few times.

I never heard Skies the Limit on the radio and didn't see a video until 1993.

I didn't even know that the other three songs were released until much later.

Not exactly a BTM song, but "Love Shines" has been a radio staple in some parts of Germany for a long time, just like "Little Lies".

That song is such a classic. A shame it never received a proper platform.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

It truly is! Love Shines should have been a hit. I LOVE it!

I heard "Skies The Limit" all the time on the local Mix station at work in 1990 and 1991.

In Chicago, radio rarely played Save Me but the rock stations played Love Is Dangerous all the time. Never heard Skies or Hard Feelings ever on radio.

Sales and artistry are separate entities.

The "Skies The Limit" video was in medium to heavy rotation for quite a while on MTV & VH1 at the time of BTM's release.

"Save Me" got lots of radio airplay as I recall.

BTM definitely did better in the UK than the US.

I heard Save Me a lot in the midwest and Los Angeles. Very seldom Love is Dangerous. I heard Skies a few times on AC radio and remember the video very well.

I never realized "Save Me" charted as high as it did! Makes me wonder (again) why it didn't make the cut for The Very Best of...

'Save Me' is a great little tune. Definitely my favourite of the period between 'Tango' and 'The Dance'.

Makes me wonder too, as it doesn't make sense. Save Me was FM last hit song and the first single from Behind the Mask. Paper Doll and Skies the Limit made the VBO yet Save Me didn't.

My fav's from this era tend to not be from BTM, but from the '88 GH and the Chain Box Set, i.e. As Long As You Follow and Love Shines.

I think Paper Doll made it because it had Richard and Lindsey participating and I think they hoped it would have done better and wanted to give it as much exposure as possible. I'm not sure about Skies the Limit.
