Indeed, much better than what we've had previously!

--Upgrade!--FLEETWOOD MAC feat. Peter Green-1971-02-19-Swing Auditorium, San Bernardino, Ca --sbd from 1st Gen. Reel!--

Friends, here´s the best sounding & most complete version of this memorable show, I found so far!

Peter Green joined Fleetwood Mac for a few dates, after Jeremy Spencer shocked Fleetwood Mac with his legendary disappearance.

This was recorded from soundboard by Harry Kraslow & fortunately taperpat sent me a copy on CDR, from his 1st Gen reel copy, for upload, here!

All thanks for the upload to both of them!

This show was earlyer traded as -1971-03-24,but since the poster of the show was found (scan incl. in torrent), the Date had to be corrected

MP3 sample below!

Tracklist:
01-Station Man
02-Get Like You Used To Be
03-Dragonfly
04-Purple Dancer
06-I'd Rather Go Blind
06-Tell Me All The Things You Do /Jam,/drums(cuts out)

Lineup:
Danny Kirwan: g, voc
Mick Fleetwood: dr
John Mc Vie :b
Christine McVie: keyb.,voc
Peter Green: g,

Lineage:
recorded by Harry Kaslow-transferred & mastered by Pat LeeAugust 2006

SBD Master Reel (Sony reel 770 with Sony ECM 22’s) >
Reel > Revox A-77 reel deck > Phillips 785 CDR burner-CDR

Doc Tinker:
CDR-Cool edit( using better Channel only /pitched +3%/EQ)-Flac

Remastered & uploaded to Dime Sept. 2006 by Doc Tinker!

Enjoy this great piece of Fleetwood Mac History!

"Tell Me All The Things You Do" has still been cut off after 14,5 minutes. It might be that the additional bits of it that appear on Merely A Portmanteau might still be out there somewhere. But the main point here is to get to appreciate Christine fully in her Patti Smith mode!

Just wait and I'll double this post on the Greeny board too.

She sounds a bit unsure of herself...or maybe having Peter there was intimidating...or?

Chris had a lot of vocal problems live back in the early, early days. She has admitted it. She got ALOT better with practice. If you compare her voice in 1970-1972 with her voice in 1974, it's almost like 2 different singers.

I'll say. The transformation is remarkable. Consider that live version of "Spare me a Little" from 1970 that you posted on yousendit a month or so back with the live version from the Sausalito radio show in 74.

Something breakthrough happened for Chris between the Bare Trees and Penguin/Mystery tours. Even on the 1973 Midnight Special version of "Believe Me" her voice sounds great--infinitely better than her voice on the 1972 Seattle bootleg.

I think part of the breakthrough was allowing herself to sound more feminine. Before this, most of her live shows (with Chicken Shack and with Mac) featured her doing tough-girl, one-of-the-boys sort of blues.

Hi Alex's dad
You’ll find some answers in the Chit Chat forum. Look for the "What the hell's a torrent?" thread … :-)

Well it does have both John and Peter playing (and Mason with Traffic as well).

Better set your BT client to download only the tracks that you want (although it's a qualidee set through and through):

Default dime a dozen and other torrents

Dear Folks,

I know I have been trying to get into dimea dozen for eons with no success. that being said. I am really interested in the return of Peter Green Fleetwood Mac recordings as this is one period of his music I have not heard and especially would like it if it was a reasonably good recording. As a fan it is still hard to wade through the noise of some of the bootlegs out there

help me someone. and help Wouter too

I'm surprised there are actually as many bootlegs as there are! That was a long time ago...It's a testament to the fans.
