Anyway, I wouldn't go see any of them currently.
I haven't seen any press about the Stevie concert. My point was that if Stevie, Lindsey, Bruce, or even Bono for that matter are charging thousands to sit up close... I think they should be trying for the high notes. As a Stevie fan, I know she doesn't hit the Go Home in Gold Dust Woman anymore, the Take Me Home in Stand Back and a number of other songs. Sure, it's a great time but it's my feeling that they should be pushing their voices and not being complacent; Bruce Springsteen pushes and goes for the notes.

Stevie played in Queens New York last night and the setlist was the same as last year except no Sara and I Sing For The Things. Leather and Lace is the only thing that’s “new.” This tour reminds me of the post TISL days so much. Covers in her setlist and casino crowd setlists. So disappointing being a Stevie fan.

So disappointing and agree with just about everything here. This Stevie has become unrecognizable in so many ways, and after being a fan for such a long time, it is inexplicable that people are praising these tired, BORING, unimaginative, rambling, EMBARRASSING sets. I have boycotted since Lindsey's firing, but I'm not sure I'd be going anyway. The prices are ridiculous, and the show is a bummer. I'm going to Avett Brothers at Red Rocks and will see the Dirty Heads and maybe even the Stones in Philly this year, but the thought of an overpriced Stevie concert is out of the question. It's too depressing...AND expensive. Ugh.

What really sucks is this new touring model of perpetual blocks of dates, year after year - it only encourages the show and setlist to be set in stone. All the spontaneity is removed from the set so it doesn't matter if it's been 3 weeks or 3 months since the last show, everyone can fly in and do the show with barely a soundcheck. She's even using the majority of the same stage/production elements from the 24k Gold Tour from '16-'17. They might add a new horse to the carousel from time to time like they've done with L&L/ISFTT - but other than that, it's the same carousel and the same ride every time. She could easily add in 3 additional songs to the set just by cutting the amount of story time by half.

But there are people who love to hear her stories...HER!

You would think her band get stale and fed up with the same old, same old.
I’m not a musician and I realise they have to earn a living..
But as artists, it must be boring..

The show certainly isn't helped by the fact that the majority of the band stands on a platform behind Stevie & Waddy. There's minimal interaction or movement between band members as they're playing. Waddy is really the only person moving on stage besides Stevie.

My guess is, the money is good and it's a relatively easy gig because it's the same thing every night, for the most part. The whole band is probably on a retainer for the whole year so they're getting paid even if there is a 3 month break in the tour.

I agree. I thought after she released and toured In Your Dreams that we got Stevie the artist anymore. She was singing 7 new songs in her set.

This has to be the most stale she has ever been. Same awful outfit, boring ass set. I'm so glad I saw her solo for the last time in 2016 when she was actually taking some chances and doing some new things.

How hard would it be to throw on a different shawl or cool vintage outfit to throw us a tiny bone of something different.

That being said, she is honestly the most popular I have ever seen her in my lifetime so I guess it's working for the average fan. People rave over these shows. I don't get it.

I agree here. We don't ask for much. Just a healthy, happy Stevie with a few different outfits and shawls, like she used to wear. A few different songs and us fans are happy again.

Stevie performed in Baltimore last night and it was the same casino setlist. And the energy level is low. Nowhere near Mick Jagger, Cher, Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Debbie Harry, Nancy Wilson, or Madonna. Two years later and still no new songs in the setlist!

I'm so tired of Free Falling. Yes we lost Tom Petty and it is very sad, but still 7 years later you are still honoring him. It's been a year since Chris passed. I feel like it's a shtick for her. A way to get sympathy or it's just laziness on her part. Keep the wheel turning. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Cher? Is she on the road again? I saw her in 2010 (Vegas) and I was quite disappointed. She acted very reluctant. Stevie performed far better in 2014 (On with the Show). Though to me OWTS was the end to me. Thhe concert was great, but their voices were barely decent.

I hate to say it but it always was shtick for her. During Free Falling she is still putting up the Tom Petty tribute? Is she still doing a Prince tribute with all those photoshopped photos of them together like him playing guitar behind her. Prince was the one that begged his assistant to keep her away from him.

(this next comment is not for you but for everyone)
At her age and being an oldies act this set is what they want. She's not playing these songs for the fans of The Ledge. She's playing for the casual fans that go to concerts. They want Gold Dust Woman, Stand Back, Rhiannon, Dreams, Gypsy.
BTW, has anyone heard the latest Gypsy story. OMG now she's talking about how she was so poor she was before joining Fleetwood Mac. Now that she came into money her mother told her to hire an accountant. She told her mom when she joined Fleetwood Mac that poor people don't pay taxes when her mom suggested hiring an accountant to file her taxes. Earth to Stevie: Poor people may not pay taxes but they FILE taxes. Its the law Stevie. Your mom was telling you the truth. But she did solve a riddle we all questioned. Stevie and Lindsey got $400 EACH per week, not combined. $1600 per month was lots of money in 1975 considering they never had a hit record yet.

Cher hasn’t toured since early March 2020. She might be the most COVID-19 cautious artist.
Anyway, I’ve seen Cher live multiple times and I’ve felt she’s been more energetic on stage than Stevie. Here’s a video of her at age 72.

Stevie twirls maybe three times in a show now.

For hardcore fans that want to see Stevie, these setlists are an abomination.

Stevie was never poor in her life. She’s exhausting
