Default Birmingham Arena show cancelled...

Reports are coming in that tonight's FM show has been cancelled...

Looks like it has been postponed to 7/7/15

Does anyone have any more info?

According to a few tweets, some people have gone to the arena and have been turned away because it's cancelled.

I went last night so I feel really lucky to have seen them and they were on top form but maybe it's Christine as she didn't do Songbird at the end.

At least it looks as though it has been re-scheduled. I'm so sorry for those who were going tonight.

I just read this on tumblr. How gutting for those people who were on route. At least there is a confirmed reschedule date. I hope whoever is unwell feels better soon and that those who were going this evening are able to make it on the 7th.

I don't know what the 'illness' is but I'm pretty sure whatever it is they're just being extra cautious because of their 'Isle of Wight Festival' slot on Sunday which has been massively talked about and well documented so they have to be 100% on point for that.

I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

I wonder if Manchester will go ahead as planned.

So in other words, the Isle of Wight crowd are more important than the Birmingham crowd? Sod "that bunch of people" because we need to be on top form for "this bunch of people".

Nice..

I'd imagine it's either Lindsey, Stevie or Christine. Singing's the one thing you can't really pull off at all if you're ill. I'd imagine it isn't because of the IoW show, as they've no doubt annoyed a hell of a lot of people by cancelling the show. On an unrelated note, Robert Plant's had to cancel some shows in the last few days due to illness. It happens unfortunately. I'm actually amazed that, given the amount of shows I go to, in the last ten years only two have been cancelled and one rescheduled and to be fair one of them was Michael Jackson at The O2...

Yeah, if it was to better prep for IOW, you'd think they would cancel the show directly before?

Yeah, exactly. Plus, whilst the IoW show is bound to attract more media coverage than usual it's not like Glastonbury where most of the headliners' sets are broadcast live.
