So true. Like you, I've been to many concerts, both big and small and the only show ever cancelled and never rescheduled was Stevie Nicks.
Of course, no one was to blame as it was October 17, 1989.

LOL - Yep, with various people accusing her of lying, being overly dramatic, etc.

Sorry to hear the bad news.Yea this sucks for you guys that travel 100's of miles or kilometers to the concerts.I've been there.

I forgot which Stevie tour it was but a show in Saratoga Springs NY was canceled because of a bad wind storm or tornado ripped up the area hours before the show.

Another Stevie show was canceled here in the state because of the venue had money issues in paying people.I cant recall which tour at the moment.

On Mac shows here in the state. The only one I can think of when one of Chris's parents pass away.

I hope Chris will feel better for the next show.

We have to understand they are not young spring chickens anymore.
We are so lucky our favorite band is still out and about at their age.

oh com'on Jamie you know i love you but even the biggest SN fans can't think she's not overly dramatic! doesn't she even say that about herself - and isn't that the part of her charm and attraction for people?

i haven't seen her being accused of intentionally lying, just not distinguishing what's truth and what are the embellished hazy old stories that got all mixed up over the years. but i don't go to SN forum usually, so maybe people there are saying that?

Oh i know she's a self-admitted drama queen, but unfortunately that's caused some people to believe everything she says is over-dramatized. I guess thats her own fault though.
(It's not part of her charm for me, btw)

That charm is wearing very thin.

I got tickets for Elton John as a Christmas present surprise for my Mum a few years ago and he cancelled with 5 hours to go.

My Dad travelled from Scotland to London to see Seasick Steve with me and the venue had flooded, causing problems with the electrics. Cancelled with about an hour until doors opened. Steve came out to play some acoustic stuff to disappointed people turning up to the venue, which was a nice touch (although I didn't see any of it!).
That was pretty gutting, we just propped up a bar for the rest of the night!

I saw Blur at T In The Park years ago and Graham Coxon had food poisoning. He'd been in hospital all day, but they hired a helicopter and despite being an hour late, he turned up and played! Proper trooper.

Nothing much can be done with illness - it can't be an easy decision for any part of the group to make. The companies involved will lose thousands, not to mention obviously the fans.

What a load of crap. People are frustrated by her lack of commitment to the band's future. NOBODY wishes her ill, nor would anyone begrudge her if she became ill. Cheap, unnecessary, and uncalled for.
