For the bit torrent newbies you may wish to check out the Lindsey Buckingham ABC in Concert audio files which are only 126mb in total size. THis torreent is posted at the following urlhttp://www.easytree.org/torrents-det...cp.php&id=7688

Lindsey Buckingham - ABC In Concert 1992

Hosted by Sara Jessica Parker, Lindsey sings live and acoustic and talks about his latest solo album (Out Of The Cradle) and his departure from Fleetwood Mac.

1. Intro
2. Countdown
3. Commercial - Dialogue
4. Never Going Back Again
5. Commercial
6. Street Of Dreams Interview
7. This Nearly Was Mine - Street Of Dreams
8. Commercial
9. Interview
10. Soul Drifter
11. Outro

Audio ripped from DVD which I believe was recorded from VHS tape which in turn was recorded direct from TV. Audio Linage: DVD -> WAV -> Soundforge to split tracks -> WAV -> SHN

The files are complete and include silences from source tape, no segments have been removed or edited. This is the audio rip of the complete recording.

Also it would be great for other lossless files began to be shared on easytree, so if anyone who is joining up and has some direct to CD shows / DVDs (not MP3 sourced) please so post them, the whole point of torrent / easytree sharing is to upload as many files as you download and bring new good quality shows to the table, to my knowledge only the following Fleetwood Mac shows have been posted (please correct me if I am wrong):

AUDIO
Live in East Rutherford 1997
Live in Green Bay 2004
Live in Nagoya, Japan 1977
Live in Passiac 1975
Dead Dust Blues (live at The Warehouse, New Orleans, Jan 1970)
Live in Filmore East, 7th Aug 1970
Live at the Swing Auditorium, San Bernardino, CA, 19th Feb 1971
Live in Waterbury, CT, April 1972
Lindsey - ABC in Concert 1992 (audio track from DVD)

DVD
Tusk Tour Rehearsal 20th Oct 1979
Lindsey - Center Stage 1992 (currently being seeded)

I apologise for not getting round to posting about this on the board, but I have been busy seeding these shows and working on a bootleg artwork archive page, you can see the work in progress at this link:
http://www.fleetwoodmac-uk.com/artwo...g_artwork.html

And if anyone has any artwork that can be posted or wishes to lend a hand on the page (search, nagavitional help) that would be great.

Let's get sharing Fleetwood Mac and related lossless files

These are the first bit torrent files I've downloaded. Once they're done, how do I burn them? Can I use Easy CD Creator? What is the file extension for DVD's?

Are you D/L'ing the Tusk DVD? if so the files come down as native DVD files (Video_TS folder) so this is all that needed to burn direct to DVD via Nero or other DVD burning software apps.

If you are downloading the Lindsey audio torrent, these files are in compressed SHN (shorten) file format and they will need re-compiling (see below)

Info below regarding torrent music downloads in flac or shn format

You need to download a Bit Torrent (BT) program
- http://bittornado.com/

Find your show you want and download the torrent file.

When you click on the file the D/L should start using the above bit tornado client

Check your firewalls so not to block the port !

After download you should have the shn / flac and a md5 file

The files if flac or shn will need to be re-compilied via a recompile software program

Download a shn re-complier "MKW Audio Compression"

Or FLAC re-complier "Flac Frontend"

Click on the MD5 file to verify the downloaded files then drop the source files (if SHN) in the MKW Audio Compression to output wav files.
If FLAC drop the FLAC files into Flac Frontend

And voila you have lossless wav files that can be burnt to CDR via Nero.

Exclamation Too bad...

I am currently unable to participate with lossless sharing, Cause I am transferring everything I have to DVD-R with great results & no detectable loss from the source/master disc/tape/etc. (One of the reasons I spent $349.99 for the premium DVD-R/DVD-RAM burner I purchased.) and I wouldnt mind sharing the collection of shows I have.

Brian j.

ps-Hey Neil, I emailed ya awhile back about a possible trade...

Hey Brian,

Did you buy one of those Panasonic dvd players/recorders? If so, I'm just curious how you find it, and are you able to transfer what's on vhs or other dvd's and record it onto another dvd-r? I've been thinking about buying one myself, and looked around on the net to see if there was info... Found alot of info on how you can record from tv and so forth and watch while it's recording, but nothing that says you can record from tape or dvd to dvd-r... I'm sure you can, but just thought I'd ask just to make sure.

Thanks.

I think it is worth the $$$ because I can now transfer my VHS tapes to DVD-R with ease (I have transferred even officially release VHS tapes with ease...Only 1 thus far was protected by 'copyright protection' and thus was unrecordable).

I have also tried to make copies of DVD-R's from my regular DVD player to my burner and found no problems what-so-ever, But you cannot make DVD-R copies of officially released DVD's (They're coded with copyright protection).

I also tried recorded a TV show from the TV directly to DVD-R and found the shows can looks great depending on what speed you record at. The best speed is XP (1 hour) which is the equivalent of SP on a VC, But much-much clearer & crisper. The system I bought also allows you to watch a show that you're recording from the beginning even as you currently record it, I havent tried it yet but I will soon...

The Panasonic DMR-E55 DVD recorder also plays DVD-A's and gives you an option to make the vocals more prominent with the "Emphasis" feature on the "Settings", Which makes for some quite cool sounding discs.

Definitely worth what I paid for it...

I think it's great that someone started sharing dvd's through bittorrent and I hope more people learn how to handle torrents so more dvd's might be shared. BTW i'll be seeding the tusk dvd for some days if somebody hasn't got it yet.

I am currently closer than I've ever been to figuring out this BT stuff. This is like the fifth time I've tried. At least it LOOKS like I might be successful in about another 60 hours. If I'm not, just listen for the scream heard round the world.
I'm feeling technically challenged.......
