Default After The Glitter Fades Country Demo

Does anyone know whether Lindsey is playing on this recording? It has bass and what sounds like steel guitar and drums (no piano).

Nobody helped you, ben.

Perhaps you can provide the recording? It would be handy for those of us who have DVDs full of songs, unlabeled & unorganized.

Sounds like Lindsey might be on bass and/or that country acoustic guitar, but I'm not 100% convinced.

Well, if this is a buckingham nicks demo - and part of the coffee plant demos (and I believe it is) than I'd have to assume that is Lindsey playing. Only because I can't think of who else it would be. It was just Stevie and Lindsey in that coffee plant - I thought. At least when it comes to guitar Lindsey did all of that.

I'm afraid I don't know where it was recorded -- not necessarily at the coffee plant, to my knowledge. But it sounds like Lindsey's bass playing to me, going by the tone and style of the bass playing on those Coffee Plant demos that circulate as such explicitly.

So does anyone happen to know about this particular recording of Glitter Fades?

Many thanks!

Doesn't sound to me like Lindsey Buckingham or anyone else in Fleetwood Mac. Someone's playing a pedal steel guitar on it -- when has Lindsey ever recorded anything with a pedal steel? And the playing style doesn't resemble anyone's playing style in Fleetwood Mac to my ears.

Maybe it's Waddy Wachtel. Maybe it's someone in Waylon Jennings's band from back when Stevie was hanging out with him during the writing of "Leather & Lace" circa '75.

This demo is so great! I love the use of the pedal steel! I love this song anyway so now I like it even more. Great harmonies too.

So, are we any closer to finding an mp3 of this anywhere?

I had thought maybe it's Lindsey on a dobro, or at least on bass. But the drums seem to dissociate it from the Coffee Plant, so you're right that it's perhaps a group that does not include Lindsey, who doesn't really play much country anyway, if any at all.

Wow! Thanks for this! I'd always wondered how this could be done. There's so much stuff I wanted. vidtomp3 is so easy too! God, I sound like one of those cheesy adverts for it now, haha!

No way did she "hang out" with Waylon Jennings in 1975.
