Thumbs up Coolness!!

I enjoyed hearing Lindsey singing THEIR songs rather than hearing him do GYOW, Big Love, Chain, etc. I really loved their harmonies on Not Too Late too..that was just gorgeous. Wish he'd done Down on Rodeo instead of Big Love...since it's very country sounding.

Overall...great show! Really wish he would have done the show with Keith Urban, but ah well, terrific show.

I thought the show was incredible! I loved seeing Lindsey play with another group that I felt he really added to (and vice versa!) It was something new and different - definately a great move on both parts!. I'd love to get that show on DVD or CD - I have it on Tivo - does anyone know how to burn that to a DVD? I am clueless about that. I hope they release it on CD- I checked Itunes hoping it would be on there but no luck but am downloading some LBT songs now.

I thought LB doing "Bring it on Home" with them was amazing!!!! I want that as a new single!

that? was a great show. i think lindsey and LBT blended very well.. and he sounded very natural on their songs. also, when they came in for the chorus of not too late.. gorgeous.

i also loved the talk snippets and the little bits of practice time they showed.

Watched this morning... Liked it alot! And yeah, their contribution on Not Too Late was modest, but very nice.

He sounded good on that other song (can't recall the name), but he sang most of it himself... it was one of theirs. And The Chain was excellent... Sounded very full vocally.

Is it safe to say that "Bones" is a ripoff "The Chain?"

Love it! They sounded really great together and I was very impressed with LBT's material.

I laughed when Lindsey said "That was 30 years of being pissed off" when (I think it was) Phillip mentioned Big Love being a tsunami of music.

Lightbulb Hmm...

Just wandered over to LBT's message board. Overall, pretty positive, but mostly them talking about how wonderful LBT was. A few people said Lindsey was incredible and someone asked what the names of Lindsey's songs were.

One person said that LB annoyed them. Another couple said that he's a fantastic guitar player, but they didn't care for his voice. Fair enough. Someone was not happy that Lindsey did Big Love alone...said it wasn't fair to LBT. I agree and wish he hadn't done it, but whatareyagonnado?

Oh and Big Love over there is called Looking Out for Love. Heh.

i agree about big love ... i wish he had done DOR. i actually fast forwarded through BL ... i've heard it like 4000 times, i didn't need to hear it that time.

i also think his voice wasn't quite at top notch last night ... he seemed to have trouble singing softly. still thought he was fabulous, though!

Maybe LBT wanted LB to do "Big Love?"

I read some comments on the CMT website - pretty much the same as what Christy mentioned - most folks were duly impressed.

Someone there started a thread re: Who would you want Stevie Nicks to do a Crossroads with? Some positive comments there as well.

an entertaining show for sure.

but i'm continually perplexed by the mass appeal for all of this startlingly unoriginal "country" music that seems to be EVERYWHERE these days.

LBT certainly have talent, but they can't seem to write a single unique song.
Every song sounds like something else I've heard - 30 years ago.

But that's OK. Just my 2 cents.

I guess I'm always on the hunt for the next Lucinda Williams or Townes Van Zandt.
