Default Goodbye Angel & Teen Beat appreciation

These two songs are great. If I am not mistaken, they were both made for but not used on Mirage. This is a huge blunder. Teen Beat is my favorite of the two. It's good old maniacal Lindsey set to a tumultuous beat, and it fits along with the 1950's theme he likes to recall. You could choose to replace any two random Mirage songs with these two, and most likely the album would be better.

Yeah Teen beat in stead of Oh Diane would have been better. Don't think that Goodbye Angel would have been an improvement.....

Sure it would.

Dump "Oh Diane" and put on "Goodbye Angel".

Doesn't matter WHAT song replaced "Oh Diane", as long as it got replaced!

I think that Teen Beat is such a fun and silly song. It rocks and I love it. I am not that fond of Goodbye Angel, however.

Wink

I guess Teen Beat is ok. There's nothing to it. No words, just a riff. It's more like an incomplete live performance. Actually its more like a soundcheck.

Teen Beat would have been good if it wasn't for the unnecessary moans from Lindsey.

Goodbye Angel has a bittersweet message behind it. I like it for that fact alone. The music and vocals are so-so.

I know ChiliD. But as you can read in my post, I already turned Oh Diane in for Teen beat. And THEN I don't think Goodbye Angel is an improvement. The rest of the album is simply better.

necessary (?) or not, they ARE moans from Lindsey. That's enough reason for existance.

By the way, I really like his moans here. (I admit: I can't think of unappreciated moans from Lindsey by me)

I think I like moans from Lindsey.

Sh*t, man. I'm a moans from Lindsey-liker.

Maybe even a moans from Lindsey-lover.

This is sick.

I could do with less moans. Lindsey is a moaner. I do like the NTF moans in Mirage (per other thread). They fit the song. Otherwise? Can it, Lindsey!

I think "Goodbye Angel" is a beautiful, beautiful song, filled with all the Fleetwood Mac hallmarks that they used to do better than anyone since the Beatles.

"Teen Beat" is just bumping around, looking for solidity out of the ideas, isn't it? It's not a song; it's a musical germ. It was developing into something, & Lindsey put it away.
