It's very sad to read that, especially considering the history that Stevie and Lindsey share with Grace Slick. Jealous much?

Also what was the rumours or story about the Heart girls with Stevie. I remember there was a topic on here about it.They and Stevie are in the last photo.

I remember that the picture was taken backstage at a show of another musical act with whom they were all friends with.

She did too much acid.🙃 She thinks The Stones still look good? Well yeah, like the way people who are embalmed look good. They still sound great though.

Well they did play Altamont together so who knows what sort of guilt twisted ties may have resulted from that fiasco?

It's music, it shouldn't matter what people look like anyway.
The Stones really are a great band still. Which is an amazing thing in this day and age. They can play any style of music and do it well. It's one of the few shows I would actually pay to see, along with Petty and the Heartbreakers and U2. They are amongst the top five touring bands out there today. We all age and I don't go to a show looking for them to look like they did in their 20's. In fact I much prefer the way they all look now. It lends something to their stage presence and performance.

I guess lots of people disagree with Grace. The band has worked hard to get themselves fit and ready for this latest tour. I think they look great! Maybe Grace should take another look. She doesn't sound definitive as to when she last saw them!
Unfortunately she will be a footnote whereas a great many of the people she worked and interacted with will actually be the story. She actually was a fashion model prior to her rock and roll career and came from a San Francisco society family. So I imagine it might be difficult for her to accept what her role in this history is going to be. She is still looking good and I love that she's continued to produce art. Now if she would just shut up and maybe find a good therapist?

They were performing in West Germany but Grace was too drunk to take the stage so the band performed without her. The audience kept chanting for Grace so much that the next night (also in West Germany) the band forced her to take the stage. Grace was so drunk and was making fun of Germans with all types of World War 2 references and how they lost the war, etc. The band had enough and she was thrown out of the band. She would appear almost 10 years later with the new "Starship." While a success, Grace has always said she hated singing those light weight pop songs with Starship. Grace was 40 when Starship had their big hit "We built this city." She regrets rejoining obviously. Grace is brutally honest and I admire that about her sometimes.
There is video footage of this incident. What Grace did was outrageous-- berating the audience for Germany's past. She said "Remember who won the war!" I'm a huge fan of Jefferson Airplane, and certain aspects of Jefferson Starship. Grace marches to the beat of her own drum. She has always been extremely eccentric, opinionated and outspoken. I'm not phased at all by her comments about Fleetwood Mac. It's just typical Grace.

Something tells me that Grace Slick is actually criticizing the three men in the Mac, not the women.

^ ^ that made me laugh out loud!

I don't really think Grace is out of her head, at all but she really believes this whole ageism thing.

This interview is from 1992 with Howard Stern. She's open and honest. Howard seems captivated.
