Default MFBB DVD due this summer?

When the Blue Again CD first came out, the press release said there would be a companion DVD, also.

http://www.429records.com/sites/429r...fleetwood1.asp

Quote:
A companion high definition DVD is scheduled for release in the summer.
However, Amazon's product description for the Blue Again CD says "A companion DVD is scheduled for release in Fall 2009."

Summer? Fall? I just hope it doesn't get delayed too much.

Remember when 'Chesher Cat' posted here? She's a photographer (Deborah Chesher)with a wonderful book on departed rock stars entitled 'Everybody I Shot Is Dead' (which is now one of my prize possessions) -- that thread here:
http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=38596

Anyway, in Chesher Cat's blog she talked about doing a film shoot of an Island Rumours Band show and an interview with Mick & Rick for the 'special features' on the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band DVD --

http://everybodyishotisdead.blogspot...interview.html

If anyone hears anything more about this DVD, please please please share it!

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Me too, TrueFaith! I'm more into the Blues Band musically, but the IRB is such a unique, creative, colorful concept (kudos to Mick), and that DVD will probably be more entertaining to watch.

You reminded me, we're talking about two DVD's here! I re-read that thread you started in January -- the one about Chesher Cat's blog -- and when Chesher showed up to post a Thank You to you, she referred to two separate DVD's:
Quote:
The interview I did (which has some really great stuff in it that I hope they don't edit out) is going on the Blues Band DVD that was shot in the UK and the Island Rumours show that we shot in Palm Springs will be its own DVD.
So, yeah, not just one, but two DVD's to look forward to!

Thanks for that update! I found it on one US site as a pre-order for August.

Wow, thank you both so much! You've made my day!!!!!!!!!

The Canterbury show is the one Christine came to see -- do you think maybe we'll get a glimpse of her?

This is fantastic news. I can't wait to order it!

Edit: CD Universe lists it as being released Tuesday August 11th!

Thanks for the kind words about my book, OT.

I wish I could update you on the Mick Fleetwood Island Rumours show and the blues band interview we shot last November but I haven't heard anything about them since we sent the footage and recording overseas.

I don't think anything I did is on the DVD that's coming out in August. I'll see what I can find out and let you know when and where the stuff we did will be available.

On a side note...do you think any of you or MF fans in general would be interested in a Limited Edition print of a Mick still I shot last November signed by him and me? I'm thinking about approaching his manager with the idea but don't want to if it wouldn't be in high demand. Maybe an edition of 50 16x20 archival color prints starting at around $600?

How many MFBB DVD's are coming out???

SorcererJP and Jenniferuk found and linked a DVD titled Live In Canterbury 2008, scheduled for an August release --- but the one sj linked from Amazon and B&N was a DVD of Blue Again, scheduled for an October release. Maybe that's video from the St. Loius concert where the CD was recorded? I'm a bit skeptical that we'd get two MFBB DVD's in three months, but I'd sure be happy if so.

Hi Deborah! Your wonderful book (and the message you signed in it) is still a HUGE hit on my bookshelf. Still impresses the hell out of my kids' 20-something friends when they see it. (By now the story's been embellished to, yeah, we go way back with this photographer....)

Bummer your interview sounds like it's not being used. It would be great, considering all the trouble you went to. Please let us know if you hear anything. If not, maybe we can get you to tell us what was said -- probably much from Mick and much less from Rick, that seems to be the norm.

The interview is being used on a DVD of a blues show in England...I'm just not sure which show it was and when it's coming out. And as far as I know, the IRB show we shot is being done too...since the shoot and doing the DVD was originated by Mick himself.

Maybe they'll feature your interview on the Live in Canterbury DVD? I sure hope so.

As much as I'd love love love to see this (especially after all your efforts in setting the video shoot up and making everything work!), this is the one I'm most pessimistic about -- I think the IRB might be history at this point. (Sorry TrueFaith.....) I'd love to be wrong on that, though.

Wow. . .

In cyberspace, a Mac fan can hear my heart break.
