Ledgies Meet and Greet

I am proposing set of meet and greets where during the course of the tour for every town or city they play someone will organize a pre show dinner at the restaraunt of their choice (Ledgies could vote on which restaraunt they wish to go to). I am propsing to do the "Official Meet and Greet" in Ontario Canada if they play here. We have done this with Tori Amos and it works out great. Everyone gets to attend the show(s) they wish and meet the people they talk to everyday on the Ledge.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

I can already envisage the entire "Fireflies UK" list (plus a gazillion other friends/family!!) doing a huge meet-up at one of the venues when the tour reaches the UK!

p.s. Mac Fan, I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you for FM performing in Plymouth!

I posted this idea on another board a while ago. So I am now going to post it here:

Hey I have an idea about the upcoming Mac tour. I lot of us seem to want to travel to different states (and countries) to see the shows. I thought it would be a cool idea if we could be kind of each other’s “tour guides” Whoever lives in or is familiar with a city the Mac are playing in maybe can give us travel tips. I figure places like nearby hotels, cheap rates, good restaurants, shopping centers and malls. Maybe even like places to play golf, beaches, historical places, etc. I know that people can look up on the Internet these days but it can become so impersonal. I figured it would be a way for us to know each other and our cities better.

Awesome idea..I have done this before...I am in Massachusetts..so pretty much all of New England is accesible for me...once we get the tour dates i will know which ones i can make it to...

I live in Fort Worth, Texas...and have NO CLUE how I'm getting to the FM concert in Dallas (they'd BETTER be coming to Dallas!! and since I don't drive), but if I have to get a taxi, take the bus, hitchhike, whatever...I'm going!!!!!!! Maybe I can get my dad to go...he likes Rumours. LOL
