Question PEACEKEEPER - Fleetwood Mac Version

I know this song is two years old, so Lindsey probably intended this for GOS, or he just recorded it himself. It doesn't sound like anyone else is on the track, @least Stevie isn't. The drums sounds like Lindsey used a drum machine, doesn't sound like Mick.

Who thinks this version that just ripped will be the one that ends up on the new album?

I think it will a quite different on the new album with the Micks and John stamp on it and Stevie's backing vocals.

If this is as rumoured to the single release with Thrown Down, then it needs a Fleetwood Mac band sound.

I think Mick, John & Stevie overdubbed their parts to this same track. I don't think this track will be on the new album "as is".

Default John & Mick...

will add their own "parts" to it, But it remains to be seen what Stevie will add to it (Probably backing vocals)...Brian J.

Is that clear enough? "Peacekeeper" sounds great, and it even (ironically enough) has the Fleetwood Mac sound in it (a very subjective feeling, I know, but it's just my opinion), but it will be so much adorned with the rest of the band in it that I don't think this version, as good as it is, will end up in the album.

(I'll bet now that the album is going to have this title, BTW. Anyone wanna bet??? )

It's with reluctance that I enter the obvious choice - it will probably be augmented. BUT if you ask me theres already some Mac-ish drum work going on after the first chorus kicks in, especially withthe hihats throughout anyway. Don't forget Big Love had a very electronic sound to the drums that might have put off (and did) traditional Mac enthusiasts. Yet the sounds here aren't outdated IMHO.

I'm hoping for a few bytes of Stevie's background vocals at best, for the sake of branding the song, a'la Little Lies.

I think the rest of the Mac will have something to add to it...not that it is bad now..but...they are a band...they need to add to each other's songs..

Of course the song will be changed, otherwise it wouldn't be "Fleetwood Mac", it would be "Lindsey Buckingham". I'm hoping for a stronger bassline, better drums, and some good backing vocals.

Hey you know what, I think my wish might just come true.
