Ok. I think this is a cool idea. Each week I'm going to post a video. It will either be a live/television performance, or a music video from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or early 00's ( the 00's will extend up and through 2005). Leave comments and have fun!

That song is as old as I am.

sigh. I've always liked the song but what I love more is those outfits and everyone's sweet a** dance moves

The song played an important role with introducing rap into a mainstream audience. Many people mistake this as the beginning of rap/hip hop, but it was going on long before this record came out. "Rapper's Delight" just helped to surge it into the charts.

Now see I like that rapping because the rapper is nicely dressed and is pleasant. This was before that sickening gangsta subculture took over all of rap & urban. Plus, the music track here is Chic's great "Good Times," produced & arranged by Nile Rogers, who considered producing "Tango in the Night" before he decided that Fleetwood Mac was just too whitebread.
