Default How often does Stevie tour Europe solo?

Hey guys,

I'm a new fan and find it really hard to find her previous tour information on the internet. Does anyone know how often she generally tours Europe solo? For example, Dido's last concert was basically 10 years ago.

Also, Fleetwood Mac has a concert in my country in June -- would I get killed by Fleetwood Mac fans if I went just to see Stevie? Lol. I'm honestly not that into Fleetwood Mac's discography.

She rarely tours solo over there because they don't like her much over there.

So basically like every 10 years or so?

Also how on earth can Europe NOT like her? She's perfection!

I don't think she's toured Europe solo since the '80s.

The only time Stevie toured Europe solo was 1989. I think her Other side of the mirror album did better over there than here.

That's a little unfair. TOSOTM got to #3 over here and sold over 200,000 copies. I know that was partly down to the success of Tango in the Night but Rooms on Fire was a hit in its own right and gets played quite a bit today.

She is also still popular here even though she chooses not to tour here. Her new album got to #14 for heaven's sake and she didn't promote it at all! I wish I was that unpopular!

Wow, that's insane. She could come and just play halls instead of domes/arenas.

Now I'm definitely going to the Fleetwood Mac concert in June. I don't know how fanatic FM fans are but I'll be there 14 hours before the doors open to get front row lol.

It sort of sad that Kylie Minogue and Ginger Spice have throttled Stevie's sales over there. Dreams wasn't even a huge hit over there. Edge of Seventeen not even a dent. I don't understand it at all. Clearly she doesn't think it is worth her time touring over there.

Can you really compare Kylie Minogue to Stevie Nicks?

I'm not that familiar with Stevie's fanbase but Kylie has a huge gay following in west Europe, so of course she's popular enough for concerts. One of her biggest markets is here.

I did not know that.David Hasselhoff was or still a hit over in Germany. In his home country .The states he did not get anywhere with his singing career. Adele kick arse over here and far as I know Kate Bush was overlooked in the states which I dont understand.

You probably were trampled on with the drunks.Thats my only problem at concerts.Luckily there was no drunks at last weeks FM show in Hartford CT.
The beer was $8 bucks and the weather that night was cold and nasty for tailgating.

I think Stevie only stops in UK and its vicinity like she did for the IYD tour.Plus a Aussie stop.

Heres some tour dates info from FM Legacy website through the WayBack Machine.

Some of the links work and some dont.I missed this site.Sorry to see it go.

C'mon, let's be fair. The reason la Nicks doesn't tour Europe or any other part of the world outside of the US and sometimes Canada is because she can't be bothered. Just read the liner notes to her various collections and you see that she can't even conceptualize having fans outside of the US. She never toured Europw during the BD, WH and ROL years and her only tour with OSOTM didn't leave any recollections because of the tranquilizers.

Why do you keep peddling this absolute bull****? It's not only insulting to Stevie's European fans, it's just plain wrong - OSOTM did far better over here when she promoted it properly. The only person holding back Stevie's popularity in Europe is Stevie herself.

I actually compiled all the links one can still access re. touring dates (as well as the attached pop up Fleetnotes) into an ebook sometime back so we don't have to use WayBack Machine, so there's always that option for checking them too.

A more reasonable, kinder way to put it is that she doesn't have a strong market base there to support a tour. However, no doubt, she has many European fans.

Didn't she do some shows in Europe on her Other Side of the Mirror tour?
