He didn't like Sara.. I wanted to see that number and I was jealous, but Aussies deserve it.

As in that’s nice that Lay Down For Free has a chorus with lush-toned bank of voices and Love Is Here To Stay features pretty guitar picking. That’s nice that the piano ballad Game Of Pretend looks like going deep, before an oversweetened/infantilised chorus undercuts andFeel About You has Paul McCartney-like jauntiness and willingness to tiptoe on the cheesiness line.
And that that’s nice that Too Far Gone has some sorta/kinda nod to Tusk drums and Carnival Began takes a slightly snaky guitar line, and later a good but generic solo, on a walk with an attractive vocal melody."

i conclude songs i may potentially or partially like would be Lay Down For Free, Too Far Gone and Carnival Begins.

i'll probably really dislike Game of Pretend considering the other review similarly labeled it as schmaltz. pretty guitar picking in Time Precious Time, Say Goodbye, or originall Seeds was not enough for me. and FAY being McCartney-esque i think somebody here already noted.
I don't get this trying to determine what you may or may not like based on reviews. Why not just wait on it and attempt to listen without preconceptions? But do what you gotta do, I guess.

Indeed!! Not to pick on Elle (she's my friend and I love her).. but, I want to hear it for myself. Even David Wild's tiny review was over my head. I need to hear it before I can do anything.

well I happen to really, sincerely, like the 3 songs I've heard so far and I'm looking forward to hearing more Christine but this review is just nothing to me, if you don't like this kind of music you'll likely not like the album. So what? I do, and that is a reality that everyone must deal with whether they like it or not

I'm still learning "Sleeping Around The Corner," but the other 2 songs have grown on me and I think they are very enjoyable. I'm looking forward to the album but still up in the air about the tour. Not excited to drive into Boston on a Wed. night.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Ha ha, I remember wondering about this myself when I saw their last show. Also from the article:

"The less said about Fleetwood's obligatory solo the better"

Poor Mick, no love from that particular journalist I guess.

I'm not gonna read reviews until the album's release, and even after that, I don't care what some so-called music experts think. Haters are gonna hate. So far, I'm loving it and they better not disappoint me! I'm flying across many countries for this thing!

Me too. I couldn't care less what some idiot reviewer thinks. I'll give it my best shot at being the next love of my life.
