Yeah, "where's Stevie," that's what he wants to hear. I was so damn upset at Stevie's Vegas show when people started yelling during Beauty & the Beast. Way to ruin the moment, jerkoffs. Like you said, insane screaming & clapping between songs is awesome, but to shriek "you're so f*cking hot" during an intricate accoustic guitar solo is rude to Lindsey and to the rest of the audience. Oh, and to the guy recording the show next to you. |

A lot of people were yelling crazy stuff at the 2004 FM show in Champaign. "You both don't suck!" and "We love you, Mick!" as Lindsey was preparing to sing "Big Love." Christy, I remember your posts about the Houston chick. Are you SURE you don't want to end up next to her again? |

Exactly
That's what I meant...NOT during the song...after the song is completely over. I wanna hear the guitarwork especially on this tour.

Like ya'll said...who wants to hear that crap during the recordings of the shows. It's funny when someone yells something every once in a great while during a long lull but all the idiodic yelling is just annoying as h*ll. ETA: Some people who crave attention go to shows just to try to get the performer to acknowledge them.

Yelling and screaming is a requirement, IMO, at concerts, but yelling out stupid crap like "Where is Stevie?" or "I wanna have your babies!"...Yeah, not cool.

[/QUOTE] In london 11-29-2003, some weirdo yelled I KNOW I'm NOT WRONG! at exact the same moment in the show....and Lindsey smiled at the guy. And he's still playing it.....But the weirdo never got to experience it....

When everyone knows the proper way to do that is by bringing enormous signs.

A man screamed out "RhiannA" at the Falls Church show. Lindsey did chuckle and walk to the mic. He said "I will take what I can get...I'll take it". He was good natured about it. That was the same show someone yelled "Buckingham Nicks". He really grinned at that one and said they were working on putting that out on CD. As far as the screaming.....its ok if its in between songs. However, screaming that he is "so hot" and all that kind of crazy stuff seems to make him uncomfortable. He laughs nervously or just ignores most of it completely. In CT, (I think, my shows are running together) someone yelled "I LOVE YOU" and he walked to the mic and whispered "I love you, too". That was incredibly sexy.....he did it in this low, hoarse, bedroom voice. Stuff like that is fun but people go totally overboard trying to get a reaction from him.

I probable would wet my pants if I heard Lindsey say "I love you too" in a low sexy voice - that could bring some really nice dreams for me !!!

There were a few whistles and howls, but nothing that I thought was obnoxious. In fact, I was happy for these moments, because it showed that some of us in the crowd were actually alive and awake for the performance! People clapped and cheered during Lindsey’s guitar solos as most of us would do, and shouted requests in between songs. I don’t recall anyone shouting requests in the middle of a different song. I don’t think the request for “Hypnotized” was out of line, as Lindsey has performed the song in the past at Fleetwood Mac shows, but I think it probably would have been more appropriate at a Mac show. I’m happy that I got to see Lindsey perform solo, but the sh*tty Milwaukee crowd will always (in my mind) cast a negative light on the show. I hope the crowd at the rest of Lindsey's shows are much better! |
