Stevie and Lindsey can still bump uglies in the nursing home, since they're eternally in love.

They're the only ones to blame for this. They had a chance to take the world by storm again in 1987, but Lindsey backed out. That was a shame because Christine in particular was in really good form on that tour (or so the Shaking the Cage tour video would suggest). Then, in 2003, Christine backed out. The work from SYW, combined with many of the song ideas from In the Meantime would have made a KILLER Mac album. And now. And now.

Individually, in various fragmented configurations, the members of this band have made consistently impressive music since 1982, but they've just can't come together: the toxicity levels are too high. Or something.

This way we could all have the Stevie most of us prefer. Without the
complications she brings. And she'd be forever young.
I saw the Blue Christmas video of Elvis and Martina McBride on Christmas Eve on YT.They did a great job mixing them together.

Didn't she leave in 98, when The Dance tour ended?

And agreed. Taking 5-6 of her ITM songs, and putting them on SYW, would have made SYW listenable. Not the steaming pile of doggie doo doo that it is.

She stopped touring in 1998. But from comments made by Mick and Stevie in the Destiny Rules doc, as well a Stevie comments in Interview magazine at the time, it's clear she would have worked on Say You Will with them, had they let her. She just didn't want to tour. So, I consider her backing out really a demurral from the group--in 2003.

I just wish them all health and happiness in their own lives.

Maybe Stevie should just call in and record a few vocals, let them finish it, do a few interviews and then go back to whatever she wants to do.

I'm glad I went to see them on the last tour and got to see all five together. But I don't know if I will go again.

I say 1998 only because she's the one who put the brakes on The Dance tour. The others waited a few years to see if she'd reconsider. They got their answer in January, 2001, when they played a farewell set for President Clinton without Christine.
