In order.
1) Rhiannon - The quintessential Stevie Nicks song 2) Landslide - I agree, best version is the album version 3) Say You Love Me - Those harmonies! Fallin' fallin' fallin'... 4) Monday Morning - It just makes me happy. Great driving song. 5) I'm So Afraid - Those Stevie backing vocals are incredible.

Love this album, my first and an all-time favourite. With the band fresh and new, the songs were so well performed. In order of greatness:
Rhiannon: Youthful, beautifully sung and sounded so good on the radio. The radio edit is actually better with the ringing bell guitar licks. Say You Love Me: Great hit single from Christine Monday Morning: Lindsey's gem as we would later find out, from his early days with Stevie. Fantastic opener. Landslide: I agree, nothing beats this version, sung in her 20's she is prophetic about her future hear with some of her very best lyrics World Turning: Always loved this song, the fade in, the urgency of the lyrics, the delicious chemistry between McVie and Buckingham.

I'm So Afarid is great. I love how Lindsey sings it so damn intensely! And that raw, scorching guitar solo absolutely kills me, but, you know, in a good way, of course.

I wish they had extended the song. Especially, because it's the album closer.

At least they extend it when they perform it live.

That list is the same for me. I'm So Afraid is one of my fave Lindsey tracks, but I do hate how long it is when performed live.

When Lynyrd Skynyrd recorded Free Bird for One More from the Road, it's about 14 minutes in duration.... much longer than I'm So Afraid.

Rhiannon, Say You Love Me, and Landslide
then Sugar Daddy then Over My Head or Blue Letter I'm So Afraid live would probably fare better than the studio cut. |
