Default Q Magazine special

Did anyone here get the newest Q Magazine? Any new nuggets we could get from it?

Nothing really new in it but you can certainly buy it through iTunes (which is what I did so I don't have to wait until it appears in my local newsagency - though I'll purchase it then as well, tbh). Also appears that the newest edition - October - of Uncut (another good UK music magazine) has FM stuff in it, including a new interview with Mick. Not available for download yet but will post when it is. Have to put this in two separate posts because it's so long, sorry! xoxo

And the rest of the Fleetwood Mac related pages from Q...

Thanks for the scans, Nicole. Love seeing all these little nuggets in one huge spread.

Buckingham's The Ledge, a deeply weird composition that suggests its author howling his pain in the company of an orchestra of elastic bands.

But what of John and Christine McVie? Their tale is as messy and melodramatic as Buckingham and Nick's. But, being British, they just don't go on on about it so much.
Thanks for the upload, I found these two quotes rather funny

And the pages from Uncut - mostly just an interview with Mick.

I'm not one of the heaviest posters on The Ledge, but I love it and think it's a wonderful resource. Having said that, I'd like to ask that those who read the Q interview on this forum please consider subscribing to the magazine, or at the very least purchase this issue. I'm a former music journalist who worked very, very long hours for years, but have had to (sadly) change my line of work because most of the magazines I worked for have closed up shop. Every music magazine still in print is fighting to survive, including the big ones, and every time someone posts content publicly that was not intended to be free, it's another nail in the coffin. I understand wanting everyone to be able to read about their favorite band, but please understand the unintended consequences.

Oh, I know I posted these but I'd second that for sure. I bought both these online and will be buying hard copies too when they reach us. A lot of those bigger UK magazines still have great stuff on bands I like (Q, Uncut, Mojo and The Word before it departed not that long ago) and are totally worth it.

I mean, these are nice for being able to read immediately and online but I'm rather partial to hard copies myself. So, apologies to those who do get frustrated by the huge screenshots I've posted and hopefully they won't put anyone off buying the actual magazine/s if they intended to do so...

Thank you so much for posting both of these! I have to say there are many ledgies that are so kind enough to post anything and everything for the fans that are less technologically savvy (me lol).

Although it isn't really anything new I love how the articles are put together in general. Some great pics and not just straight interviews, there are some good tidbits of information. I think my favorite is the "uncle Buck, the bands jittery savior" lol oh Lindsey and his artsy demeanor

I suppose this is a rather daunting article...however, I couldn't help but notice the blurb about Future Games on Page 21. No, Christine McVie did not sing Woman of 1000 Years.

^^^Your comment beat me to the Woman of a Thousand Years blunder.

Is Heroes "far better" than Mystery?

Does the guitar work on "Bright Fire" sound like Kirwan?

Is Kiln House a "slight" record?

Is "Bare Trees" more pop-oriented than its predecessor?

I admire this guy's enthusiasm and his willingness to acknowledge the 70-74 period but I disagree with so much of his critical judgment.

I do appreciate, however, that this was posted, scanned so well, too!

The reason it is 'scanned' so well is because it wasn't scanned. One good thing about buying a copy of the magazine through the iTunes store and reading/screencapping it on an iPad, I guess.
