Was he actually expecting them to do Chris's songs without her? I don't think Lindsey gives any indication that he's not wanting to be a part of the band. And Stevie's moves "dated"? Ugh.

Lightbulb It's interesting...

It's not all that bad a review, but clearly the writer is just a big Christine fan. I'm sure other people who are big Chris fans or simply love her hits the best must be feeling the way this guy did.
And obviously this person doesn't appreciate the things we love which he sees as "dated." Ugh, indeed.

The only song that I thought the sound was bad on was Say Goodbye, but that has been the case at every show I've been to.

Why don't these reviewers ever mention the fact that most of the fans stand and sing along to every song, predictable or no?

Lindsey only grandstands on three songs, really, and the man deserves that time in the limelight.

Don't let this review bother you -- it sounds like it was written by someone in 5th grade.

Christine McVie, you were missed Thursday night at Birmingham's BJCC Arena.

Fleetwood Mac just isn't the same without you, even though four-fifths of the band is touring in your absence, filling the void with two backup singers and a five-member group of sidemen.

But some essential magic was missing from Mac.

McVie's absence meant the band couldn't perform "Over My Head," "Say You Love Me," "You Make Loving Fun," or other tunes featuring her crystalline lead vocals.
Someone ought to clip these parts about Christine from these various newspaper reviews & send them to her, just to give her that warm glow at her core, that "sittin' on a feather" sensation.

All in all, great review! Did somebody say earlier that FM played "Thrown Down" in Birmingham?

Turns out they didn't play Thrown Down after all.
