I don't think it's annoying. I think it's hilarious. Gail & jb just can't help themselves.

By the way, I have no idea who or what Vivica Fox is & what that has to do with Christine McVie.

You know, on that note, I really think she could make just one appearance and take care of business. I'm not going to advocate the merits of American Idol and its contestants in general, because I'm not sure there are any. But, seriously, if she appeared on that show as one of their guest mentors (or whatever they call it) and performed a song live, that would not require a tremendous commitment. And a bazillion people would hear her.

I'm not sure I'd be interested in hearing the contestants cover her music, but it would certainly be a boatload of exposure.

Vivica is a beautiful black actress and find it hard to believe there are any Americans who havent heard of her unless they've lived under a rock thier whole lives! lol

I really can't see Christine doing that.

Perhaps she doesn't care how many people buy it. It clearly wasn't an issue with ITM. She knows what it takes to sell an album but she's not prepared to make that kind of effort or commitment. she also knows that the sales will suffer as a result and it's a price she's prepared to pay.

I don't think she cares about sales. She doesn't need the money. She said as much in several of her ITM interviews. She wanted it to be low key.

Do keep in mind that I didn't say I could see her appearing on American Idol. I just said it would be excellent publicity and wouldn't require a great deal of commitment on her part...probably less than a week of her time. The most publicity bang for the buck, if you like. But, she probably doesn't care. It's unfortunate, though. ITM was certainly better than a lot of what's out there.
