Default Next Year

Thought I would pass this along, for what it's worth. This is just somebody else's account of what they heard on the radio from Mike Campbell.

"Dirty Knobs update: Get excited people. On my way to work this morning, I heard a new message from Mike Campbell on Tom Petty Radio. He said the Dirty Knobs album, the bulk of which was recorded in a quick two-week session a year ago, is nearly complete. He mentioned that he is working with a voice coach to become more confident with his vocals, and he plans to finish off the record with the band and co-producer George Drakoulias in the next month or so. He is contemplating how to begin rollout of the material this fall after the FM tour wraps up. A CD release will follow before the end of the year, and Mike said next year is entirely reserved for a Dirty Knobs tour!"

Not sure how that affects the possibility of new material from the new band.

In other words: "I made some good money on the Mac tour to fund my real passion."

Meanwhile, the band that fired its chief creative instigator will spend the year buying things.

Devoting an entire year for touring with a project the size of the Dirty Knobs seems like a long time.

If you think this band is recording ANY new music you are seriously fooled. They are together for a cash grab and that's IT. Stevie does not have any more gas in the tank. DONE

An entire year for a rinse and repeat tour sure feels like a long time too. To each their own.

I'm glad Mike will have some time to devote to his other projects, I just hope it doesn't get him fired too LMAO....

All the more reason why she should have just quit the kitchen while she couldn't stand the heat. Her and Mick are really showing their true colours now.

I wish Mick would just say definitively that the group does not exist anymore. Then we can edit Wikipedia and get rid of all this crap about the surviving members of the 2018-19 lineup comprising a current configuration.

Thanks to Mick and all erstwhile members for the good times.

Exactly! So sad really. But good for Mike to still have the creative outlet most musicians of his caliber still aspire too. Good for him!

Same goes to Neil Finn. And it's not like the rest of the band didn't know that. It was pure business on both sides. But we're "happier than ever".

They all screwed up Lindsey big time.

Stevie on vocal technique "Mike it's easy, just sing your songs within 2 notes of each other and you'll sound great!" "And if you are writing a song do the same and they will be very easy to sing!"

There will never be any new Fleetwood Mac music. All Stevie wants is a touring band.

I guess at this stage all they care about is the money and that's why they chose team Stevie.

I’ve been wondering, maybe it’s out there somewhere and I missed it, but do you think the 4 remaining of the Rumours 5 paid out the settlement with Lindsey, or do you think the 6 of them collectively took less to pay him?

To find the answer to that, follow the $$$ in front of Mick and Stevie's nose. EVERYONE.PAID. Mick is probably the worst of them...it's all about $$$.
