Merely A Portmanteau
Back in 1980 a friend of mine had a record called "Merely A Portmanteau", side A had part of the BBC Paris theater show from I believe april of 1970. Side B has "Live" 1971 with the songs: Station Man, & Tell Me All the Things You Do. My question: is side B the San Bernardino show which Peter replaced Jeremy Spencer after he was side tracked by the "Children of God" religious cult/group? I hear bongos or conga drums on side B also, was that Nigel with Peter. I've heard this is the case, but I'm not quite sure.
Anyone know the details? |

As far as I know it is the San Bernardino show. Those two tracks are the same (although edited slightly differently) as those on a disc that's been circulating as being from that show. The sound quality on "Portmanteau" is better than the other disc too.
There are a couple of Ledge threads about this show - the one I've linked below contains a link to an older thead. Those discussions should be helpful to you. http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showth...ght=bernardino |
