Default Tango In The Night (Demo)

So, what does everyone think?

I thought it was...uh...interesting???

What was up with his chipmunked voice and all of that bluesy "ooh-oohey" crap. I kid. I actually really liked it.

It may just be my ears, but is it different than the demo Richard Dashut leaked last year? I think it is because my favorite part was when the drums, instead of sounding like actual drums, was Lindsey going "Uh" and "Ooh". I was somewhat disappointed to not hear that, because it was entertaining to say the least; but the chipmunk voice more than makes up for that.

Just a side note, I was listening to another favorite artists of mines album, "Hounds Of Love" by Kate Bush, and when I head the demo of "Tango In The Night" I was kinda surprised with all of the similarities to Kate Bush.

So "Tango" was already my favorite Fleetwood Mac album, but after hearing the similarities to Kate Bush I love it even more.

Anyway, say what you think about the new demo/single/song/thingy. I will see you in the comments!

Also, if anyone maybe has the link to the version Richard Dashut leaked, could you please post the link. I really, really, really liked how cheap that version sounded compared to the glossy album version. Cheaps a mean weird, but you get what I mean. I just liked how it sounded like it was being played in a garage, which it very well could've been.

If you have Spotify or ITunes, they released as a single for the new "Tango In The Night" reissue that's coming out in March.

I always thought the production style of the Tango In The Night album sounded like it was influenced by Kate's Hounds of Love album. I wonder if he was into Kate Bush at the time. Listen to Big Love and Running Up That Hill back to back, for example.

Tango in the Night should have been released as single. That is a great song.

Yeah, I was really surprised by it. I think I remember reading him saying that Kate Bush and Laurie Anderson's sound sort of had an influence on "Go Insane". So I guess it could have had an influence on good old "Tango".

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Default Fascinating

While I prefer the version that Dashut posted, one can hear the Go Insane era of sound in both versions. It also demonstrates how much further Lindsey continued to push the sound envelope during the recording process of the album. While I don't care for the vocals in the iTunes version, I like that Lindsey experimented with his voice during the recording process looking for the best possible sound. A true musical genius (1% inspiration, 99% perspiration).

Very interesting.
Love the harmonies during and after the chorus!
