They are not doing that one. She played it for over a year on her solo tour with CH. Free Fallin' is the TP song.

Again, I don’t think it would be done as “the TP song” since it was on her album.

I just stabbed myself and that was so much more exciting than hearing Dreams again. And the bill was less, too!

Any moreso than you would have been?

The band has been on autopilot since the SYW tour. The sad truth is Christine coming out of retirement was the most interesting thing to happen to the band in a decade. They went from being an oldies act to being an oldies act with the full lineup!

ETA: If they hadn’t parted ways with Lindsey, we would have had these plus two to four other songs:

The Chain
World Turning

SYLM
YMLF
Everywhere
Don’t Stop
Little Lies
Songbird

Dreams
Rhiannon
Gold Dust Woman
Landslide
Gypsy

SHN
I’m So Afraid
Tusk
Big Love
NGBA
GYOW

The SYW tour at least had new music. Thanks to LB rallying the troops.

Christine coming back we got to hear her songs. Which was a pure delight after 15 years. Little Lies w/ Lindsey for first time. Everywhere, SYLM, YMLF with a huge cheer. Stripped down Over My Head and Don't Stop (she actually solo'd 16 bars or so... Songbird w/ LB.

And they played SOTM and Seven Wonders. I Know I'm Not Wrong That was awesome.

I will agree 100%. Had they toured with LB and NOT changed the set. I would probably be waiting for BuckVie II. Time pending...

On the Dance, I loved Christine's beautiful piano intro for Rhiannon and SS. The acoustic set of Go Insane and Big Love. TemP One, Sweet Girl, Demon, Bleed.. They did the long cool version of Not That Funny.

But now, they just need a new album more than anything. THEY NEED NEW MUSIC. That's what makes the hits so interesting because they ignite the crowd after some new material. That's what happened at BuckVie. And most of the fans had the BuckVie album.

I do not want to hear Neil or Mike's material. No more than I wanted to hear any of Rick's album or Billy's. Although I loved Tear it Up because it was on I'm Not Me.

BTW... had Canton been on a different day of the week (a weekend day), I would have gone to that LB show.

Maybe this change will eventually result in new music.

There’s a big difference there, though. Neil and Mike have timeless iconic hits. DDIO was a given. You can’t put that guy in the band and not do that song. As for the Mike/TP stuff, I’m thinking it’ll just be FF and SDMHA, both of which Stevie has recorded.

Hahah what? you mean their new cover of Free Fallin' doesn't count as new music? It will be a moment.

That's a real stretch. Free Falling is a Tom Petty song and the whole world knows that first. Hardly anybody is going to know nor care that she covered it twenty years ago for a soundtrack and had it on the third disc of a boxed set.

Quote me now. If FF is done on this tour, it will include a self indulgent intro story that somehow turns into a Stevie story, not a Tom story.

This next song is called Free Fallin. Like Prince, who had spent the best 15 minutes of his life with me. I had spent a lot of time with Tom. And I told Tom, this is my song. I have to cover this song. I want it. And he gladly gave it to me because I told him it was my song. And he didn't argue. I'm not the boss here in Fleetwood Mac, but really, I'm the boss. Because when Mick doesn't give me what I want, I threaten to quit and do my solo career. And Mike is new, so he has to listen to me.. hahahahaha That's when I told Tom, I don't really like to write anymore, so I want this song. 5 more minutes.... of blabbing...

people running back from the bathroom...

........... and this is called Free Fallin.... ok Christine, you can speak now..

Christine.. uh 1.. uh2........

Then they shouldn't have put him in the band.

Of course you can. It’s not a Fleetwood Mac song. If you want to showcase Finn, then write a new song with the band. FM singing DDIO is one of the craziest things this band has done.

I kind of disagree with this. This is Fleetwood Mac tour. People expect to hear FM songs. If you are going to put these guys in a band and want to hear their stuff, record new music (they won’t. Stevie said it doesn’t sell). Also, no one is a bigger TP fan than me, but why on earth are they doing a tribute to him within the context of a FM concert. Just because he was a friend of Stevie’s and she hired his out of work guitarist? Where’s the Danny Kirwan tribute, that’s a bit more fitting.

A Danny Kirwan tribute might happen if they play Station Man.
