"Stephanie"...................for all the right reasons!
The most romantic thing he's done, and the closest to a pure love song we'll ever be likely to get from him.
Words are certainly not needed on that one.

Default don't get me wrong...

i love that song (and it gets my vote for fav. instrumental) but hasn't lindsey said that the only reason he named that song 'stephanie' is because he didn't have a title and stevie suggested it?

Default Stephanie

Angie, that's exactly what he said. That was on that Words and Music Promo CD.

So.........he wouldn't have named it that if he didn't want to.
Also, the Words and Music set was done at a time when he was very angry at her still, so I'm sure he wasn't in any mood at that time to fondly recall the events of the Buckingham Nicks years.

There's no reason to completly write off the title as meaning nothing.

It's a beautiful, innocent piece that reflects their relationship at the time it was written.

A little world with a world, time within a time, I believe he is fond of calling it.

Heart I pick Stephanie too

Even if she did suggest the name, its still very romantic that he used that as the title. It's a gorgeous song. I've actually been listening to it every day for like the last month and each time it boggles my mind that even that young he was really mastering the fancy guitar work....Then I think about him practicing till his fingers ached and Stevie going out and waitressing to support them both...
*sigh* Talk about romantic!

Unhappy Lindsey Solo...

Sorry! I never knew that solo was from Lindsey
AND Stevie! All Lindsey's intros are great...and
This Nearly was Mine from OOTC is just lovely!
The solo work Stephanie is also well done! Sky

ps...Nothing special there! Lindsey said he doesn't care
what titles his work has! It was Stevie's idea anyway!

lol...JMO here...but, regardless of whether or not Stevie suggested it, or if Lindsey did, or if Lindsey cared (or not) WHAT the song was named...he (they) DID name it Stephanie. So...it IS pretty special. It's a beautiful song...and I'm sure that he cannot play it today without thinking of her...which is kinda cool. Regardless of whether or not they ever get back together...they WERE together at one time, and they meant alot to each other--went through a lot together. IMO, he could have been just a tad bit more romantic, and named one for her on his OWN. LOL!
