What label? They're free agents. Their last contract was a one album deal with WB...and the "one album" was SYW. There's no "label" TO hold them back.

Also - priorities change as we're getting older too (had to put that in there). We have bills to pay, kids are growing up and go to college etc. About 20, 30 years ago we didn't have all those responsibilities. Some of us might not even know that there's a new album out on the market because our attention doesn't go there anymore because of that. I also blame the marketing people. The publicity in Europe is horrible. A friend of mine went to buy SWS and they didn't even know who Lindsey was. When she said Fleetwood Mac, they still didn't know and she had to spell his name. Luckily for her they had one copy. And that's another thing that drives people to illegally download: if the albums aren't for sale in some countries, people are going download it illegally because they want to hear it. Fleetwood Mac (or Stevie or Lindsey) albums aren't for sale everywhere, in some countries the albums aren't even released.

I just hope that Lindsey has built out that incredible "new" intro to NGBA, into a whole song. everything is in there: melancholy, melody, to my ears a rich base for something that is called Sad Angel.

These people really make it hard to stay a fan. Really, really hard.

Amen. I am always amazed at what an absolute mess they make of their non-tour commercial / artistic projects now. Other bands with half their pull and power are more savvy and know how to please fans but also making it a worthwhile commercial exercise. I know that's what frustrates Mick, and I suspect it's because Lindsey doesn't care (fair enough) and Stevie sees her solo career as her cash cow (I think).

I had a dream last night that FM surprised us with their new single, but the real surprise was that it was a song by Rick Vito who apparently was still in the band! It was accomppined <(spelling??) by a video of the band performing it with one small catch. Stevie's part was played by a little boy and at the very end of the song the boy faded out and she was standing there with her tambourine in hand.

were you listening to IYD by any chance last night? This reminds me of the mirror in which the little girls were saying "I am SN". As far as her being a lil boy...hmmm, well one might think back to the line "But if I was a child and the child was enough...."

I love it when SN/MAC incorporate the "next generation" in their music, such as SYW and the childrens hands picture.

Side note: If Stevie had used a boy in that video to say "I am SN", this would have been a nice touch for her to reach out to the LGBT community.

Not sure why RV was there, but possibly b/c he a good chemistry working with SN.

This dream reminding me that I had one in which I lost my luggage at the airport....and my FM tix was in it! Talk about a nightmare!

When is everyone going to learn NOT to take everything that FM/its members say so literally? We'll get the new songs before the tour. Maybe next week, maybe next month. Calm down.

Reminds me of: "It's only been one show! Calm down!" XD but totally agree. If a FM member says next two weeks, they mean possibly within the next two decades, but there is still a chance of never.

The thing about Stevie is she likes to put a definite number on things and that kind of misleads the mind. It's like a brainwashing technique. She's like, "we worked from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m." or "we played 178 dates." When she says something and makes it sound so definite, you believe what she said, even when you know she's highly prone to error. I mean, when she says "I wrote this four years ago," you tend to think exactly four years ago. Whereas, if she says a few years ago, your mind doesn't try to pin down a date.

You know you shouldn't place any reliance on it, but when someone throws out a definite time frame, you kind of swallow it hook, line and sinker.

Michele
