Default Download Billy Burnette Albums

There are probably more albums out of print by Billy Burnette than any other FM member. Many of you would have downloaded these from my old blog (fleetwoodmacmusic) or bought the bootleg CDs that were being sold on the net a few years back (where I obtained them) but for those that didn't here are four now and four more to follow when I get chance to upload them.

An mildly interesting fact - when I used to run the blog, the artist Sade released an album called Soldier of Love - also the name of a Billy Burnette album. Over 5000 people downloaded it before Rapidshare deleted it from my files. I'd like to think that some of those 5000 people would have decided to keep the album and perhaps come to like the music of Billy Burnette.

Between Friends - http://www.mediafire.com/?aldk8l3st6cw66b

Billy Burnette (self titled 1972) - http://www.mediafire.com/?a8de99d0c7syaqt

Billy Burnette (self titled 1979) - http://www.mediafire.com/?kywktjhy19nn8ea

Billy Burnette (self titled 1980) - http://www.mediafire.com/?skrqrfrpdrd7oha

No-one ever said that Billy was creative when it came to naming his albums

Thanks for posting these! I have Billy Burnette (1980) on LP, but not the others. Unsure why he'd want to name 2 albums the same that are one year apart!

I'm assuming a different record label but I'm too lazy (and have consumed too much wine) to go and look at the CDs themselves

I think they are from two different companies (Polydor and Columbia ). Still, that doesn't make it any less confusing to people buying the albums!

"Between Friends" is my favorite. "All My Life," "Help Is On The Way," and "Hey You Got A Way" are favorites. The title track makes me think of Bekka & Billy.

With all the crappy music that gets released (or even rereleased) on a weekly basis, you would think somewhere along the line Billy's old material would be rereleased, in particular the 1980 album, Try Me and Soldier Of Love. I'm still holding out hope it will happen one day.

Yes I fully agree. Perhaps the only one that isn't at the top of my favourites list is the 1972 album, but I think that is more that Billy hadn't yet found his style.

Ok so here are five other out of print Billy Burnette albums. I'm almost certainly that Coming Home is deleted now but please let me know if I'm wrong and I'll remove.

Soldier of Love album was originally posted on the Ledge by Street Dreamer, so I'm just basically reposting it!

Brother to Brother is a compilation of Try Me and Soldier of Love, released in 1988 it was obviously designed to capitalise on his new Fleetwood Mac fame. Only the title track doesn't appear elsewhere.

It's quite amazing to see the number of albums Billy Burnette has released. I'm not a huge fan, but he is a respectable artist. Thanks for all these downloads. I only have Coming Home on CD and Try Me on vinyl.

Especially when you consider there are probably another four or five albums that are still widely available for purchase.

I really hope you start getting in to him though PenguinHead, there are some real gems in those that I have posted!
