After reading through some of the latest posts under this headline...I have come to the conclusion, that,
Not only can't Stevie write a song anymore,....neither can Christine or Lindsey...
Because if they could they would have released SOMETHING.

However I still feel that 2017 is the year a "New" Album will be released.
......If not then no new stuff ever.......

So they can't write songs anymore but new album in 2017, you guys!

In the first paragraph it's like you're just trying to insult them. "You can't do it anymore" But they aren't here to hear it.

And in the second one you're giving them an ultimatum "if you don't do it by next year then don't do it at all". Really though, you have no idea.

No, I would never try to insult them.
Just making observations, that Christine and Lindsey have had new material for 2 years now.
And there is no ultimatum, its just my thought that a new Album will surface in 2017....

Of course they can write songs. It's just Stevie's reluctance to get involved with F Mac at present for whatever reason. I wish they'd just tell her to either commit or quit.

If she's too legit to quit then she must commit and stop treating Mac fans like... horse manure.

You've done 24 Karat now Stevie, you simply have no excuse. End of.

It's all her world, as far as she's concerned. She's the star of FM. Just axe her.

I wish they'd kick her selfish ass to the curb.

This thread was started in response to an article which quoted Stevie as saying something along the lines of "There will be a new Fleetwood Mac album. We have plenty of songs." (Sorry - can't be bothered searching for the article to find the exact quote)

Do we have enough new information now, for example the recent Rolling Stone interview with Mick, to prove the Stevie quote (above) to be a fabrication by the journalist who wrote that article?

If there was any fabrication, I'm sure it was by Stevie herself.

Ever fact check any of her stories? She's delusional.

Default Stevie is hopeless.

If I had known it would work out this way, I never would have listened to Fleetwood Mac in the first place. Stevie is a selfish person who should have never joined the band, especially now that they are all a little weathered and she's holding them hostage. It's about me and what I thought I wanted - more music.

INSTEAD OF BEING GRATEFUL FOR WHAT I GOT FROM THE BEST BAND EVER! I WILL SPEND THE REST OF MY DAYS BASHING SAID BAND FOR NOT PUTTING OUT A NEW ALBUM FOR REASONS BEYOND WHAT I AM PRIVVY TOO.

You guys are terrific!

My guess is 2020. Just like they always wait 3 years to tour, they also have a ritual of always waiting 4 years (after 13 years have passed) to release an album. That's been their practice since 1975.
