Exclamation Tribute Album

I went to the mall today and was looking through the Fleetwood Mac cds at Media Play. For some reason when I go to a music store I always look at the FM and Stevie sections hoping there's something there that I don't have, which is technically never the case. But this time I found this cd called A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac (NOT the Rumours one). It's by Rhiannon and The Rumours. I don't know if any of you have heard of it or not. The track list is Landslide, Over My Head, Say You Love Me, You Make Loving Fun, Silver Springs, Rhiannon, Tusk, Go Your Own Way, Don't Stop, Sara, Gypsy, and Oh Diane. I'm gonna go listen to it now and see how good it is. Anyone else have this cd?

I listened to it...it's not bad. I really like the more upbeat Over My Head. I wasn't too fond of Silver Springs or Sara though. The girl didn't do the "Was I just a fool" part and everything, they only did the full "Time casts..." verse once then ended it. And Sara, they didn't do the whole song, they started with "Said Sara, you're the poet in my heart..." But the ones I really liked were Over My Head, Landslide, You Make Loving Fun, and Gypsy. All in all, it's a good tribute.

I don't know, I listened to it and thought it was kind of bad.

It's not that they butcher the songs or anything. They just do really straight covers. And because they're not Christine, Lindsey, Stevie, John and Mick with their unique vocal blend or their quirky guitar touches or their one of a kind bass'n'drum blend... the songs just don't really make much of an impact, to me anyway.
