Tell me all the things you do
I was having a conversation with one of the administrators in the Pre-Rumours section, and I asked him about this song Lindsey did live on the early part of the Rumours tour called Tell me all the things you do. He was surprised and hadnt heard about it. Am I the only one that knows about this? I think I have it on 3-21-77, Philadelphia.

"Tell Me All The Things You Do". Danny Kirwan tune from the Kiln House album. Lindsey did an ok job with this one...a real surprise tune for their encore. I saw 'em play this one on March 10, 1977 in San Diego. It didn't last very long in their set...once Rumours started its encampment on the top of the Billboard charts, they kept dropping the pre-1975 material like litter along the highway...until all that was left was "Oh Well".

You can hear the Rumours-era version of it from a bunch of those tour rehearsals that people were sharing last year. It's on some soundboards.
It doesn't exactly rip up the venue, but it's pretty & charming, like much of the live work of those people. Christine's piano is really the star of the "Tell Me All the Things You Do" show. |

That was the beauty of pulling off a totally surprising song like that...until I heard a tape of the show I attended, I thought they did a killer rendition...the tape proved it wasn't all that the memory recalled. Still, though, it was a very enjoyable song at the time.

Any thoughts from the experts (Mr. Oberman and chiliD and such)? |

My guesses would be: Obviously..."Oh Well", since it was the lone survivor until The Dance tour. I think "Green Manalishi" would've stuck around a bit longer. "Why" & "Believe Me" might've stayed, too. And, possibly "Station Man"...but, I think that was on its way out anyway...they'd done it for two years straight.
