However here in Australia (eastern) we are currently having temperatures just shy of 50C (122F?).

Thankfully not where I live, getting to 38C on Monday next week, that is probably hot enough for me!

Oh dear God! I could never hack it down under. After it hits about 27C I am basically completely over being a reasonable human being. I have no idea what would happen at 50C.

Here in the South of England it's about 10C. With some wind. So I do find it a bit chilly. Living here has obviously made me grow soft.

Haha, can I ask you to elaborate, out of pure curiosity? As a non-Brit living here, it seems the notion of people from other developed countries wanting to live in the UK or become British is one the local people find incredibly puzzling/mystifying. I like it well enough, though. Just interested in your take on it.

Most of my favorite bands and singers are British. I like British people, in general. Other than that, I can't honestly say what the appeal is. It's certainly not the food.
