Default Anyone else heard the Bekka solo album "What's In It For Me?"

I discovered a few weeks ago that Bekka actually released a solo album in 2002. I had no idea that it had ever existed. It doesn't appear to be available for sale any longer, couldn't find it on ebay/amazon/gemm etc.

Its a really good album, quite typical Bekka stuff, except not as country as Bekka & Billy.

Be warned that the first track does not sound like Bekka (must be her when she was a teenager or something).

It's basically all demo work that she made available at her shows. It was also briefly available on her website. I don't think it was considered an "official" album.

Ah...I wondered where it came from - that would explain a lot. So sad that she hasn't done more solo stuff, she deserves more than being a backup singer. I saw her when she was backing Billy Joel, such a waste of talent.

The album was only available through her official website www.bekka-bramlett.com I don't know whether I should be happy that someone has downloaded the songs I originally posted or upset that they uploaded them to a separate account without giving me credit. Oh well...

I downloaded my version through a torrent, no idea if that is the album that you originally uploaded or not? All I did was notice that the album was released while looking on the Bekka website, did a google search, found a torrent link and downloaded. No way of ever knowing who originally posted a link anywhere. Certainly wasn't off the ledge. If I ever download anything from a link posted on here I'll be sure to give credit to you or anyone else.

It's not a big deal, but I'm certain it was from me because a) I was sharing a bunch of albums through torrents last year and/or b) I uploaded all the albums earlier this year on a site for everyone to download. Someone likely downloaded them and made their own torrent to share with everyone. Either way, doesn't matter and it's not a big deal.

Anyway, if it was yours then thank you....its a great album and much appreciated! Thats the thing with with these files, once they are out there there is no stopping them!

Also, the two albums on my site that I figured were almost certainly the ones that you had uploaded (after further investigation) I have credited to you. Let me know if you want a link to your site or something where you get a mention.

Pretty much every album by Billy or Mick and the George Hawkins album, I had a hand in uploading in one form or another. BTW, here is a live show that I recorded last year featuring Bekka and some of her songwriter friends. I'm pretty sure I screwed up with the place where they were at, but it's a good show nevertheless: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6APURTTO

Also, Bekka has a couple songs on her MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/bekkabramlett
