All new 2013 Fleetwood Mac contest!

Ledgies, it's time for MacShadowsBall's 2013 Fleetwood Mac Contest. Like in previous years it's now time to choose what type of contest will we do over the next 4-5 months. In 2010, it was the Favorite Mac song contest, 2011 the Least Favorite song, and 2012 the favorite non-hit contest.

Choose what you'd like most to see. The choice with the most votes will be done.

Choice 1 - Best of Christine, Lindsey, Stevie
This contest would take the best of both FM and solo songs for each performer and create an 18 song "Best of". For example, "The Best of Stevie Nicks", 18 songs chronicling her songs from 1973's Buckingham Nicks album through 2013's Extended Play. This would be done for each of the Rumours era vocalists only.

Choice 2 - Favorite Live Performance
About 4 peformances for each song they performed live would be eligible. Once each song has a favorite live performance, they will battle it out for Overall favorite Fleetwood Mac peformance. Also finding out the favorite performance for each vocalists. May include Post/Pre Rumours era.

Choice 3 - The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac
This would create an ultimate 1 disc best of Fleetwood Mac. All eras, all albums, all vocalists would be eligible.

Choice 4 -Top 5 Mac Albums of All Time
I never done an album contest so this would be different. All albums would be considered creating a Top 5 Mac Albums of All Time.

Choice 5 - Top 5 Least Favorite FM album
Same as Choice 4, just Top 5 Least Favorite Mac Albums.

Choice 6 - Redo of Favorite, Least Favorite, or Non-Hits Contests.
This would be a rerun of a prior contest, perhaps removing the top finalists and redoing the contest. Would results be different than a few years ago?

Looks like Choices 1 and 2 are in the lead.

If we do Choice 1, I will need 3 "Ledge Experts" to work with on Christine, Lindsey, and Stevie's individual "Best of" CD list. Anybody interested reply and/or PM me.

If we do Choice 2, we will need to decide whether to include Pre/Post Rumours era performances and type of performances to include, i.e official, audio only, video, bootleg, etc.

I like option 3 - Ultimate Fleetood Mac. It could even have a weird twist, like non-singles only.

Yeah, that's an idea. Basically removing the non-singles and/or "hits".

Getting the entire Mac catalogue down to just 18 songs would be very hard. One thing that would have to be decided would be whether or not to censor/control how many of each members songs and how many from each album would make the ultimate list.

Theorically the ultimate 18 could end being 15 Stevie without any Post-Rumours and alot from Rumours/Tusk. Is that bad? Just let the ultimate 18 be what we decide?

Remember with Choice 1 each list would contain 18 songs each for Christine, Lindsey, and Stevie - separately - covering both solo and Mac.

If we go with Choice 1, we would start with Christine and her complete catalog of songs, i.e Chicken Shack, solo, FM, etc. I'm looking for a Ledgie to serve as "Christine Expert" for the duration of her contest. Please let me know if you are interested, or I'll PM somebody!

If we go with Choice 2, I'm thinking going with official performances that exist in audio and video format, with the reasoning that judging an audio-only performance of a song would be hard paired up with a audio and video performance of the same song, i.e only a audio version of SOTM from '79/'82 up against the famous performance from the Mirage Tour video/DVD.

Choice 1, PLEASE! I often attempt to come up with my own "best of" compilations, but input from everyone here would result in amazing compilations and maybe bring unrecognized or underrated songs to light.
