$45?! Cab rides are like $1 down there.

I wouldn't be caught dead with a braid in my hair, bub. Or dredlocks, my word.

That's exactly why I knew something was up. If you don't know your ****, don't go down there or else you're going to get robbed. Good thing your parents knew the deal and didn't get raped of all their cash.

I wouldn't say that exactly. We did pay $50 for two T-shirts, and $50 for a sweater.

It is. But I bet if A&F hired a bunch of Bahamian women, they'd be selling T-shirts at $150 a piece

Now playing: I Need To Know, live from Bonner Springs, KS, 1998

My friend is gorgeous and she has them. They are very uniform, neat, and small. It's like braids, but more convenient. It's too bad you don't like the way AFA people's hair naturally grows. I also appreciate the fact that people with dreds are proud of their natural hair, and don't straighten it so it will be more like a white person's hair. But of course some people don't understand that. but then, all locks are not created equal...
P.S. In case you didn't see what I said, that blondie interview is fantastic.
GREAT LOCKS! (had to stick up for the locks)

drive me bonkers that the 2 songs were left off the cd, But even worse is that the sound of the cd is nowhere as clear sonically as the cassette (At least to my ears)

It's different when it's on a white guy Your friend can do dreadlocks well though, a difficult feat.

It's not a black and white issue with me, I just don't like how dreds look. I may be proud of my natural hair when I wake up from bed in the morning, but that doesn't mean that everyone is going to like it or think it looks attractive. Dreds work on some people, your friend included, but overall I can't stand them.

I wish Lindsey was capable of giving such a great, thoughtful interview! Her intellect astounds me every time, she's a smart cookie.
