I am an American Idol fan (*sigh*- I know) and David Cook was my favorite from day one. I was hoping that Carly would have made it longer, but I'm happy that David won. I hope that he will be able to put out some great original music and not scary American Idol type stuff. Very impressed with him. Plus he likes to do crossword puzzles.

We were rooting for the other David, but having said that, DC has a very cool voice, can play guitar and will have made loads of fans ...all the best to him

Sorry, but I'm a Dreadhead. I love Jason Castro like nobody's business. He is fantastic and I bought a ticket to the AI tour just to see him. Haven't seen an AI tour since the first season with Justin Guarini.

oh honey, around he we call archuleta the Monchichi. [The Soup had it on, and I thought it was hilarious!!]

I was happy that Cook won over the Monchichi, that proves to me the show wasn't rigged. I serioulsy thought it was rigged for Monchi to win, since of his whole voice problems [he is the one who had the voice opperation right?]

HOWEVER: My fave. this season was Michael Johns. I also loved Jason Castro ['Don't Vote!' LMAO!!!] I was like heartbroken that Michael was kicked out week 7. After that I really stopped caring.

I was thinking about Idol the other day, and decided the only season worth anything is 4, since I think that is the most memorable season, and that it is one of the only years that the right person won. [Sure Kelly in season 1, but seriously, over Tymyra...come on...season 2 should have went to Clay, season 3 I didn't watch, season 5 is my biggest problem with the show EVER, I mean Taylor Hicks...REALLY?, and last year Melinda should have won.] But David Cook I do have to admit is a good performer, who is very talented. He just wasn't my favorite.

I voted for Michael Johns also ! I think I really liked him because he was just so damn cute! I loved his singing voice, but I REALLY loved his accent when he would do the interviews. What a cutie!!!

I went to see The Davids at the Today Show and got a few pics, I can post them if anyone is interested but they're kinda from the side. Gotta say, it was GREAT hearing Cook sing live and even moreso seeing that his down to earth demeanor wasn't just for TV. He was outside mingling with fans for over half hour between his inside TV interview and outside performance. He seems like a pretty normal guy who's dealing with this sudden onset of awesome pretty well. Here's hoping it sticks!

And I admit, I've taken much more a liking to Archuleta now that he didn't win. He's kinda adorable and seems like such a sweet kid and I think will be a great performer after he's had time to get a little more comfortable with himself. Kid can SING, it's just a matter of learning all of the other stuff that comes along with that, which Cook just has down to a T.

Can't wait to see the live tour in August!
