Default Who Should Replace Chris (St. Louis Today)

[This was from a few weeks back, but I didn't see it]

Bird’s Eye View: Who replaces Christine McVie?

Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie won’t perform at Tuesday’s concert. Who should replace her?

Readers suggested some names. I added the commentary.

Mark McGwire: Hits high notes, but will he sing about the past?

Deanne Lane: Less work, more money and Lindsey likes blondes.

Dirt Cheap Chicken: Somebody’s gotta sing ‘Songbird.’

Nelly: Imagine the mash-up possibilities with ‘Hot in Herre’ and ‘Big Love.’

I'll say it again..... Greg Allman should replace Christine... and he has better hair..... and doesn't wear those awful country hats at that farm in little lies back in 1987...

I agree with David. If they were seriously going to do that, Carole King would really be the only logical choice. (Mick an John on I Feel The Earth Move would ROCK.) But having a legend from something different didn't really work for the band before. Christine would be a very hard act to follow, even for somebody with such an amazing body of work like Carole King.

What a stupid, out of date article. Of course she couldn't be replaced.

of course not!!!! I think I've really come to appreciate the lovely Christine McVie much, more since she left the band. I love Stevie and Lindsey, God knows, but without Chris, Fleetwood Mac is a little rough around the edges.

He could wear the same hat as far as I'm concerned. But outside the hair...he'd never write such an awful song as little lies iback in 1987, and if he did, he had pulled out his hair already...

You're right. But then you can tell by the replacement candidates he named that the writer wasn't serious about it at all.
