Can we come to an agreement as a board on this “which forum issue”
I understand many of your frustrations over this situation. But its getting really annoying to have someone point out every ten posts that we are discussing this new line up in the wrong forum.
While technically this is true.technically the same could’ve been said 2002-2014 as well as all buckvie discussions. Technically that album should’ve been called Fleetwood Mac, but even if that ended up being the case it was still not the “rumors” line up. I’ve been trying my best to stick to the Post rumors forum for discussions about this new line up, but currently there are 20 people viewing that forum and 125 viewing the rumors forum. While maybe 5 percent of those people may enjoy creating more havoc, I believe most of this is just because of habit. This Forum is just the default “main” forum. So I will gladly not utter a word about this line up in this forum. But first there needs to be an official program in place. A simple sticky note from the moderators at every forum outlining what should be discussed where. I’d support the decision to have that place of discussion being the post rumours forum because of the technical aspect. But there’s technical and there’s reality. And reality is this is where everyone looks. Even before this mess, the multiple forums have been unnecessary to me. A rebooting of the whole ledge would make sense BUT, that’s even less possible with the fact that as many have pointed out this place and the very idea of message boards are on their last legs so redoing anything seems out of the question. So that leaves us (maybe a poll or just mods getting together to come to a consensus) to make a decision on this.

I think the solution is honestly to create a new subforum.
Anything relating to the breakup/firing fits in this one. But things post LB probably need a new zone. |

I agree with you that the Rumours section is kind of the default.

I would leave everything going forward in the Rumours section.
There's a cheesy connotation to the Behind The Mask/Time years that we won't be seeing this time around. Mike Campbell will make Fleetwood Mac bulletproof when it comes to sound and taste. And the setlist will most likely be a majority of Rumours songs. |

I've already talked with Michele about it and agreed that the discussion will stay in the Rumours section e più non dimandare

In this day and age I don’t see any reason to have different sub forums at all. Your thread subject should let the reader know if they want to click on it or not.

If discussion of this new line-up remains here, at least be honest - this would no longer be a forum about the Rumours-era band. It should be renamed to something along the lines of 'Fleetwood Mac with Stevie' or 'Stevie's Fleetwood Mac' since that is exactly what the forum would consist of.

I'd propose a 'Current Fleetwood Mac' forum.
I'd also suggest merging Peter Green with The Early Years. That forum is pretty much defunct, sadly.

No one has answered yet if board merges and renamings are even feasable? I was under the impression that the board doesn’t have a real anymore. I hope I’m wrong

Front page of TL
Early Years (1967-1974) Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, Bob Brunning, Danny Kirwan, Bob Welch, Bob Weston, and Dave Walker Rumours Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie Post-Rumours Billy Burnette, Rick Vito, Bekka Bramlett, and Dave Mason Who’s going to be on the tour? Mick, John, Christine, and Stevie. Which forum, as described on the front page of TL comes closest, not perfectly, but closest, to the current lineup? Are Billy, Rick, Bekka, and Dave going to be on the tour? It’s no different than the SYW lineup or LBCM.

How about a poll sent out via email?
FM is changing radically, no reason the Ledge can’t too.
