A nightmare before Christmas.
Also almost every Disney classic cartoon like Lady and the Tramp and Beauty and the beast.

I always like to see the Rudolph Red Nosed Reindeer 'special', it's extremely cute and who hasn't felt like a misfit toy at some point... but it's not really a movie I suppose. Still, total magic, even if Burl Ives turned in people as commies to the house un-American activities investigative committee back in the day.

I look forward to Elf I guess, he reminds me of all simple-minded goody-goody fanatics. I can still watch bits of it if nothing else. I was hoping Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas might become a new favorite but it didn't really 'ruin' the occasion as I'd hoped... maybe if Debbie Downer from SNL ever gets a movie? It really chaps my ass all these 'traditions' and decorations getting in my way, sucking up my air... people need an outlet for the tension and frustration that builds every year starting in November when all the media seem to conspire to shove this hugely important event down our throats with Santa Claus 'shops here' jazz and all. Jesus was probably born in February anyway according to scholars. A good scowl is in order!!!

Mary Poppins!

Not really a "Christmas movie" by any stretch of the imagination, but... it's always on over Christmas and it always makes me very very very happy.

Miracle on 34th Street (1947) is my favorite.I've watched the 5 versions of it the last couple days.

I love all of the old holiday movies.

The original Scrooge is great too.

Also I love the Rankin Bass specials.

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is still funny after all of these years.I still enjoy it today.

Polar Express "2004 "comes to mind for the later movies I enjoy.

Alot are on Youtube .Screw cable TV.

I love:
Miracle of Morgan's Creek
Big Business (Laurel & Hardy short)
The Shop Around the Corner
The Blue Carbuncle (Jeremy Brett)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Boris Karloff)
Meet Me in St. Louis

and probably dozens I'm forgetting that have memorable Christmas scenes in them, from "Fanny and Alexander" to "The Lemon Drop Kid" to "The Thin Man" to "The Dead."

Is that the one where they are selling trees in California and by the end of things... well, another fine mess?

I love that one too.

They're not really 'Christmas movies' in the traditional sense but Trading Places and Life Of Brian are both both brilliant and 'technically' are Christmas movies.
Elf is my favorite true Christmas movie and has become a modern classic.
Also love Christmas Vacation ( I don't know about anyone else but I feel an affinity for the 'Vacation' movies due to LB's association).

Does that count? If so, it must be the greatest. Yes.

Otherwise, off the top of my head:

Classics:
The Shop Around the Corner
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
Meet Me in St. Louis
Little Women (Cukor)
3 Godfathers
Bell, Book & Candle

Modern:
2046
4 Moons
Noel
The Family Stone

May not technically qualify as a "movie", but I have to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas every year.
