Default *Spoiler* on upcoming Tour

Silver Springs: How will they do the intro without a piano player? Guess it will be some kind of synth intro or maybe guitar.

Sara too isn't the opening suppose to be on a piano?

Umm, they HAVE somebody playing piano. Brett Tuggle (I think, unless they've got somebody new).

In fact, there are more extra musicans than actual members of Fleetwood Mac at Fleetwood Mac shows.

Silver Springs was performed for the first few legs of the SYW tour. I imagine they'll do the same intro, which I believe was piano played by one of the back ups. I love this song but I really wouldn't mind seeing it dropped from the set list. The Dance version is hard to beat and Stevie's voice on the "Live in Boston" 2003 show is beyond strained. It's almost difficult to listen to.

I'm hoping! I think it would totally rock! I don't think Mick mentioned it in his interview so maybe, maybe not. I've got my fingers crossed

If they wanted to stay true to the studio version, it would need to be on the acoustic guitar. I don't understand why they reverse the acoustic guitar and piano parts when they do it live. It really bugs me. It's like the piano is playing the guitar parts and the guitar is playing the piano parts.

I'm not following... the studio version is all tack piano with some quiet acoustic guitar strumming and the occasional electric guitar noodling. The only difference live is that Brett uses a cheesy sounding electric keyboard rather than a tack piano and Lindsey's electric guitar fills are very pronounced. I can see why they have been so reluctant to perform this live- the studio version has a very specific vibe that is pretty much impossible to recreate in a live setting. And of course the voice... which is not quite as nuanced as it used to be .

Actually, no there are not. They let all of the "extra" musicians join the band just to stop us from complaining.

If you listen to any of the shows on the Tusk tour, you'll know what I mean. You can hear that acoustic guitar very clearly on the intro. On more current live versions, all I can hear is that annoying fake piano on the intro.

I hear you about the studio version. I wonder why they don't try to do it live with acoustic guitars and no electric guitar, and with Mick on brushes or whatever he used on the studio track. (Like a little bit like "Gypsy" at the AHI show and "Never Going Back Again" on the SYW tour.) I wonder if they've tried that.
