I'm not saying youre wrong, but I think it's innapropriate that you posted this before there was more of an official announcement.

Going with the pattern by what we've seen the band do this year (switching out Albany for Toronto #2- and that's why Rochester wasn't canceled, by the way, since it was then positioned as they only upstate NY play), and in '04 (Tinley Park 86'd for Scranton, and a few others), I'm betting that we're going to see a new market slip into its place. There's enough time to do it.

A market in the same region, with a smallish venue that shouldn't be too hard to sell 6000-7000 tickets (with an adjusted price scaling, to ensure that tickets actually sell). I'm thinking Moline. Just a hunch here.
I could definitely see Moline. I saw the Mac there in 2003 and I think it only holds about 8-9 thousand people. What about Des Moines too? I know Paul McCartney has played Des Moines. What size is the main concert venue there?

Yeah, at least FM77 could have said that it's rumoured to be cancelled in the title of the thread.

Strictly you could have said FM77's wrong: there is no cancellation official. Until that, one can look at it as a lie.

Inapropriate indeed.

David, I agree with you. I stick by my post but I thought the announcement was coming yesterday. My intentions were not malicious; I am a huge Mac fan and know many people who were planning on going to this show. Apologies to the board.

Hey it's ok. You dont seem like a troll at all. Everyone makes mistakes. Hopefully this will be cleared up soon, one way or another.

YEah, I looked on TM today and nothing came up on the floor at all, not even for 1 ticket, so that is a good sign. I'm sure some of those front seats are blocked off until nearer showtime to sell as part of that ILAA package. ANd we all know how that's gone...

I just pulled 2 on the MF section 17, row 39 and 2 in lower bowl in section 105 row DD--tickets have been available at mid-court, lower level since the tickets went on-sale in January. I wonder if lots of people bought the cheaper tickets first?

TONS of great tickets available for this show (of course the venue guy is going to say its doing well).

They also made the mistake of making the first half of the upper level sections closest to the stage PL1- NONE of these seats have been sold. You can still get first row upper level right next to the stage. I love sitting there (especially compared to sitting at the back of the lower bowl facing the stage, so far away), but not for $150+ each.

I called Live Nation yesterday to see if it was canceled, and there was no word yet. If anyone else wants to try, its (314) 657-4900 (St. Louis office booked the show)

i get what your saying, but tom wasn't talking to me as just the 'venue guy'~ he is a good friend who happened to get that job when the qwest was built, so i do trust him when he says the sales are going well, as for an exact number, i didn't inquire about that~

i am just trying to figure out yet if this a rumour or not~ & until an actual announcement is released to the public, i will take tom's word for it that the show is still on~

& yes one can drive sown to KC from here, it's only 2 hours away & i was thinking of possibly going to that show anyways~

my personal bitch is that~ i know that the midwest in general have tons of f mac & stevie fans~ & the midwest seems to always be left off of tour dates for some reason, or are the shows to be cancelled~ starting way back to the 'tango' tour~ i know for a fact that show was sold out, only to be cancelled last minute~ the SYW show was nearly sold out if it wasn't entirely~ so i just don't see why the midwest is always the 1st to get the shaft~ it's not like we are hicksville here, at least not where i live~ people here can afford the ticket prices, we are not a poor city, hell warren buffet is from here~ it's just like any other city~ but besides the SYW tour, the mac hadn't played here in 27 years & i have had to travel to see them~ now i did that willingly because of my love for them, they didn't twist my arm~ but as a mom now, who also runs here own home business, it's not as easy as it was before to throw a few things into a suitcase & follow them around~ it would just be nice for once for me to be able to see them here~

& as for lindsey & lincoln~ i have no idea what that venue is like, but he should have played here also~ there are tons more venues that would have been more to his liking~ we have the holland performing arts center, the orpheum theater, the civic auditorium (where the mac played in 80) & the qwest center~ not to mention right across the bridge in council bluffs, iowa, they have the MAC & some outside venues owned by casinos that everyone else comes to~

as i have said before i have come to the conclusion that stevie hates me~ & she wants me to suffer for my love of her art

I forgot about them cancelling that Tango show-that was supposed to be in Lincoln if I remember. I cannot recall the reason they cancelled that show either.

I know other shows have sold out in Omaha recently (AC/DC, Billy Joel/Elton John) so its not like its an ecomnomically depressed market. If this is a ticket issue, I am shocked.
