Stew -- my good friend from the Boulder concert.

Upon reflection, I think you were right...I was bummed at the first night of the Boulder concert, because it was the same day as the Virginia Tech incident.

P.S. I have another Miranda version, but I think it is the same one as was listed on the GOS by Vanessa. I will check into it.

Thanks anyway for the earlier tracks. Yes it was a pretty flat concert really in Boulder, Lindsey was good, but the audience wasn't in the mood for it. The second night was better but I can't remember whether that was the night when they wouldn't let those students in - you had to be 21 to get in I recall.

Hope you're well.

Default Steal Your Heart Away

Here are 3 alternate mixes of Steal Your Heart Away. I have not listened to them in a long time. Maybe some of you Ledgies can tell me how they differ.

Steal Your Heart Away - alt mix 1 (with Christine McVie - supposedly) Maybe this version is the one the GOS ?

Steal Your Heart Away - alt mix 2

Default Miranda Versions

Miranda - alt mix 1 (3:51) begins with "she always goes"

Miranda - alt mix 2 (3:59) (previously posted) begins with "end of the light"

Murrow Turning Over in His Grave - alt mix 4:12 (This one may have a digital blimp on it. It is how it came to me. It differs from the GOS version...4:18)

I PROMISE That the SD/GI mixes will be up soon, just my laptop is a bitch.

Just a quick FYI-

Wow, Betsy. Can't thank you enough. Interesting stuff. It's like some of the knobs just were turned to zero, so we just hear some of the tracks. Although I sometimes really think I hear a different leadvocal than on the finished track.
Like in the WTWCT you posted.

These alt mixes of the SYW tracks are likely taken from the 5.1 audio dvd where different sounds come through different speakers and you can eliminate some leaving it sort of bare bones....

So not officially different recorded mixes, but fan made. That's my hunch from listening to them. And still an interesting listen.

So that's the original WTWCT-leadvocal?

It's possible. When you strip away all the layers overtop of it, like his own voice.. Stevie's harmony on it, some instrumentation... this could be what you are left with. Plus he's probably harmonizing with himself, which some of this could be...

I just downloaded What's The World & that's what I think too. It's home-made from the 5.1 setup, with input on some channels taken down to zero.

I don't mind when fans do this because it's very interesting hearing things that you can't hear otherwise, i.e., when all track inputs are at normal levels. Some fans did this with the Rumours DVD-Audio, too, & I always loved the results. I only wish some of the other projects would be released in versions mixed for 5.1 -- like the 1980 album or Law & Order. You need that 5.1 mix to eliminate channel input on your home system. Did Shangri-La get released in 5.1? or Christine's solo album? (probably not that)

Remember that guy who used to post here a few years ago? What was his name? Poopoo or Pooper or something? He used to do a little of this wizardry too.

Thank you MacMan and David and all the others who posted.

I am such a guppie....I bought the 2 CD set off of a ...... (kazoo squeal inserted here) Ebay auction.

"Yes, Virginia. There's a sucker born every minute."

Maybe it was Poopoo or Pooper's auction, that I bid on.....

Yessss. Haven't heard that in years. Thanks Tee Dee!

Is it Slow Dancing that was also remixed like this? I just can't remember. Also, I want to say there was a Time Bomb Town remix. Obviously I'm not sure if these were official remixes or dj mixes or fan mixes or what.

I have 3 SYW discs. Two were purchased on Ebay and were titled "Alternate Mixes". One was a trade from about a year ago and says "Early Mixes".

If I were to post 1 or 2 songs (from the Early Mixes) ...could you people tell me if they are fan edits, or you think they might be genuine?
