Default Worst bits?

If it were up to me I'd have accidentally erased Too Far Gone.

Oh wow. That's one of the best tracks IMHO

It is the best track in my opinion. It belongs it the hall of fame of classic Buckingham riffs, alongside World Turning, Wrong, Wait For You, Rhiannon.

Best:

Too Far Gone
Carnival Begin
Love Is Here To Stay
Sleeping Around The Corner

Worst:

Lay Down For Free...zzzzzzzzzzzzz

This album really keeps moving. I love that about it. I don't really skip songs.
Mick and John really are present. So refreshing.

I really like Too Far Gone. My only gripe is the continuous use of '...going underground'. I can handle it once or twice but I think they should have changed it up a bit throughout the song. Going underground sounds a bit stupid, lazy, clichéd etc. Is it supposed to be a song about miners?

I'm currently having no best or worst. I'm loving and enjoying and learning every song of this fantastic album.

I agree. The idea for the percussion breaks was sheer genius! They take it to another level.

I agree. It's VERY generic filler. And worst of all, the instrumental riff in the chorus, it's all tracks, live. Nobody is playing it, yet it's there, prominent in the mix. Lindsey could have at least played the notes on guitar, rather than let the karaoke machine do it.

I don't skip songs, either. An album is a work, meant to be listened to, front to back. At least by FM, they are.

I'm in love with it, though.

It's not like anything that Christine and Lindsey aren't playing live is tough or difficult. She could play Hold Me in her sleep. I just watched her play Songbird on the BBC. I'm not loving this LIndsey backing tracks stuff. If this is what he thinks is modern or cutting edge, he's mistaken. It's artistic laziness. Bring on 24K II!!

Lay Down For Free is a snoozefest.

The only track I skip is Feel About You, I just can't stand to listen to those lyrics.

I know. Makes me wonder if Wonder Woman is slipping. Because they've made it where she doesn't have to really play. WHY would they do that? Is she drifting a bit, where she's afraid she won't remember it, or maybe it's arthritis?

He IS mistaken. It's super cheesy, and less would be more. Big machine. Small machine. Karaoke machine.

Sorry guys, you all are just wrong about Too Far Gone.

Nine out of ten isn't bad right?

Honestly I don't care if she actually plays or not, I'm sure the reason (be it arthritis or a focus on vocals) is legit but I wish they wouldn't fake it. Just let someone else play and have Christine stand up front like she does on Tusk, Everywhere, Say You Love Me, etc. I'm sure she's not as comfortable without an instrument at her fingers but it would be a little less insulting to the audience.

I have doubts that these shows are being attended by casual Fleetwood Mac fans who came to see "Don't Stop". They're harder fans that came to see Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham do their thing, and thus will love it whether its a pitch-perfect production or not. They don't need to do it up like they may have to in order to please a giant Fleetwood Mac arena audience. The tracks and fake-playing are unnecessary and distracting.
