[QUOTE=SteveMacD;11533 As Mick told Lindsey many times, you're either in a band or you're not.[/QUOTE]

But. As Mick and the rest of them know ,she is and always will be the Star Attraction.

Yeah no reason why they cant tour for 3 weeks in April, they toured in March for Tusk ....

They usually do one show in Perth, 1 Adelaide, 2 Melb, 2 Brisbane & 2 in Sydney..

At least we know for sure they are finally coming to OZ

After almost 40 years of FM why can't Stevie have her songs be the way she wants them instead of the way LB wants them?

I think it would be in really bad taste if Stevie did not have at least two songs and contribute on harmonies and backup vocals for Lindsey and Christine's songs.

They're all old. It's all five of them again. She can't not record with them if the other four want to make an album.

I am sticking with the tour ending 6/30.

Would love to have another album with all 5. If there's an album without Stevie, I'd buy it. However, I wouldn't see them on tour without Stevie. There'd be no tension, no angst, no reason. Sonically, an album without Stevie might be great. Theatrically, the tour would be, well, it would just be.

Although all that being said, they keep talking about a "whole new chapter" so at least Mick and Lindsey apparently would like to see multiple tours and albums.
My 2.5 cents:Stevie and The Mac have had alot of animosity between them ever since she worked with Dave Stewart on "In Your Dreams".We've been hearing her say over and over how much fun it was and how it was the "best year of her life",in a round -a- bout way saying that she didn't realize how ****ty it was working with the Mac until she had the "Dave" experience IMO.In the interviews when Chris first mentioned her return,Stevie didn't seem too thrilled about it,almost annoyed actually. In recent interviews she's like yay we got our " dream girl" back but that's all PR bull****.I think Chris's return threw a monkey wrench in all of her plans not to mention her much needed and expected attention has shifted from her to Chris.I really did see a huge intimacy gap in their Philly show, not even smiling at Chris, as I mentioned in a previous post.To me her body language was saying,"I SO don't want to be here".All this is my opinion so don't hate on me please. Also,a "whole new chapter" could mean a Stevie-less new record. That sure would qualify as a new chapter!

Yes, because it was all her decision to go on this year long world tour instead of
recording an album for Fleetwood Mac.

She's not being the money grabber in this situation.

Be that as it may, she's NOT bigger than the band.

She's either in or she's out. She can't be both. Sure, the band doesn't want to play smaller venues. Neither does she. If she wants the status of bandmate, then she is obligated to give them songs (and they don't really even have to be hers). She can't hold them hostage. Not anymore.

That all being said, I think she has every intention of recording with Fleetwood Mac.

Oh if that's the case, im guessing a solo tour promoting 24 Karat Gold is on the horizon then and if so SHE BETTER COME TO OZ FOR THAT!!! lol

then im guessing a F/Mac album after she is done with her solo duties

I would be more than happy with that scenario to be honest..

I'm sure the band won't wait for a contract before recording an album. They've already put in a lot of work without a contract.

I think she's holding out a carrot as insurance to make sure this tour remains whatever she wants it to be.

That's really not even the point. The band can record whenever, wherever, whatever, and however the hell they want. They could sit around a campfire with a boombox and record something if they wanted to.

It's about how it's going to be released. I'm sure they'd rather deal with WB, the label that has released the vast majority of their albums, over other labels or dealing with an indie release at this point.

Who is currently working an album recently released on WB, while on tour with Fleetwood Mac, NOT touring in support of the album WB has a vested interest in?

Who is playing coy about her future plans, especially now that she has zero obligations?

Why would she rush to record an album of previously recorded demos right before Fleetwood Mac went into rehearsals (it's not like WB was demanding the album be finished before she hit the road with Fleetwood Mac)?

Stevie's totally recording with Fleetwood Mac at some point. This thing going on now is just a game. THIS is the politics Lindsey always bemoans. It gets us all involved, but then they come up with a narrative that unites fans around the project.

I don't know about that. It's not business as usual because their time is running out. Does Stevie want to end her career on a positive note or negative note?

But she doesn't have to play all of these games and keep the band hanging if it's only about a record deal and the RELEASE of the album. She can record with the band without any of that settled and after all their record deal doesn't only concern her. They aren't tied to WB either and they legitimately shopped around on the last album too.
