Can anyone post or point me in the right direction to the Gary Hodges/Bob A. post? I have no idea how I missed this, I feel like I'm in every Fleetwood Mac group under the sun.

Garry Hodges posted it as a comment to someone asking how is Lindsey doing in We Stand With Lindsey fb group. it's a closed group so posts are not public meaning i can't link you to it but as you said you are probably in it so should be able to find it.

yes, they do. when they are in arenas they also have part of the floor GA standing so they definitely pack way more than FM does. i saw them in same arenas as the Mac but with GA floors back in 2013-14 (touring album on which LB played, actually). then they did a summer shed tour with Soundgarden a year after.

however, as i'm sure you are aware, Trent Reznor likes to experiment with different approaches and different venues. so their last tour was a mixture of arenas, multiple nights in small theaters, large festivals, and several nights smaller to mid-size venues with huge GA floors like the Anthem in DC. this was the tour when they were going back to basics and tickets were initially going on sale at the box office before opening online, to try and avoid big online scalper bots. so it had people standing in line for tickets for like 24 hours, at least for initial dates.

remember in their heyday NIN "opened" for David Bowie, even though they very much more commercially successful than he was at the time. but Trent insisted that Bowie is the main act. Bowie would tell funny stories about that tour, how everyone would leave after NIn was done and he would come on to half-empty arena, with just Trent there in the stands clapping enthusiastically.

so to answer your initial question - yeah, NIN still packs more audiences than FM does. but their prices are not nearly as crazy, because they are not into scalping people.

Lindsey Buckingham Performs For First Time Since Open Heart Surgery
05-22-2019
Lindsey Buckingham
(hennemusic)

Lindsey Buckingham performed last weekend for the first time since his emergency open heart surgery in early February and video from the performance has been shared online.

The rocker's wife, Kristen, shared the news via social media about the guitarist's appearance at his daughter Leelee's high school graduation ceremony on May 17, where he accompanied Leelee and her fellow students on the 1975 Fleetwood Mac classic, "Landslide."

"Last night was epic," Kristen tweeted. "First time I've seen Lindsey play in the last 4 mos, all the while Leelee ending her high school career. AND she sings a little 'Landslide' with her dad. I cried, I'll admit it. Never know what's ahead so enjoy the moment..."

The former Fleetwood Mac member continues to recover from the surgery, which resulted in vocal damage to the guitarist; Kristen updated fans on the situation on May 20, tweeting: "The love and support for Lindsey and our family from all of you means the world. Thank u! Please think good thoughts this week and send L the best healing vibes as we head east to meet with vocal specialist. We're ready for whatever is next. Love conquers all."

Buckingham was fired by Fleetwood Mac last year after Stevie Nicks reportedly gave the band an ultimatum that she would leave if he didn't; the guitarist successfully sued the group over his dismissal in a lawsuit that was settled in November. Watch the video and see the tweets here.

What a beautiful moment indeed. The short video of that performance is incredibly moving.

It's great to see that he has recovered so well. Congrats to his daughter for graduating! What a moment!

I much love the photo of Linds and his three big children that Kristen posted on Father's day. The four of them look like a close-knit bunch, with humor and wit and spark between them to share. So cool that he has that!
