Default Was there a support act at your concert??

Apparently there is going to be a support act at the Brisbane concerts...Killing Heidi is the band, and while I don't mind them, I want ONLY Fleetwood Mac to play!!!!

Are they having support bands at any other concerts in the US or Europe/England??? I hope so, cause otherwise I'm scared.

What if the support band's on for an HOUR or something, and then Fleetwood Mac's only on for another hour?!!?!?!?!?!

I am mildly reassured by the fact Stevie had Vanessa Carlton as her special guest / support act for her 2006 solo tour, and that didn't detract at all from the amazing concert Stevie did...and I honestly really enjoyed watching Vanessa too.

So...yeah.

Dublin gig was supposed to have The Riptide Movement.. (sorry, who? ) as a support act but a few days before the concert O2 sent out a text to say there'd be no support.. thought as much.. the set is 2 hours and 45 minutes! Sans interval!

WOW, 2 hours and 45 mins with NO interval!? God I HOPE it's exactly like that for my show too...why would they need a support act then!? Maybe Killing Heidi won't be on after all. Good. *whispering* Sorry Killing Heidi. lol

It is not Killing Heidi it's Ella hoopers new band with her brother "the verses" http://www.myspace.com/theverses

There is nothing wrong with a support slot, it will not cut into the main set, end of story!
don't forget Fleetwood Mac used to play support slots!

looking forward to the tour i'm seeing 5 shows!

It was like that at the show I went to. No opening act, and it went on for just about three hours.

Oh, Ella's new band, eh? Cool.

I don't care if there's a support act or what. Just as long as FM's time is the FULL time! WOO! lol

At the last Wembley show and the Birmingham show they didn't have any support.

I can't stand support acts, I get really bored and I find that half the time the support bands are (in my opinion) rubbish.

No support act at Manchester 27/10. Thankfully. They bore me. And FM doesn't need one.

I haven't heard anyone mention any opening acts, they haven't had any all tour. When was the last time someone opened up for Fleetwood Mac? Did they have any on the dance tour? I know they did on the BTM tour. I don't know what makes an artist want/not want someone to open up for them.

Well, sometimes an opening act is quite good. Last week I saw Heather Nova and she had Ben(jamin) Taylor opening for her. Ben s the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon..so I was expecting something...and he was very good.

Anyway, saw no opening act on this tour or the SYW-tour.

Saw 'Hans Vermeulen' (Sany Coast/Rainbow Train) opening for the Time-line up in 1994.

Saw Chris de Burgh opening for them in 1990 (Mask) and The Adventurers in 1988 for the TitN-tour.

Richard Marx opened for Stevie in 1989 during her last European solo-tour (gee, is that really 20 years ago??).

All I can remember from those acts is keep looking at my watch to see of it wasn't time yet to quit :-)

They were a little late coming on (lucky for us ), is that included in the 2 hours 45 minutes?
Even if it is, it's still well over 2 hours. That's brilliant

Well, the time my GYOW video was created on my phone was 22.25 and it was mid way through.. (OCD much? ) and then we had World Turning, Don't Stop and Silver Springs, which is at least another 20 minutes I reckon?

I'd put it at around 20 minutes more, yep.
That's really impressive. Imagine how long they would have played if they'd HAD an interval!
