Annnnnd...we have a winner. Sigh. So much for "The Year of the Woman." What happened to the gracious, cool person many of us admired for most of our lives?

Maybe it's the artist and the RRHOF working together to find someone. The RRHOF wants to attract attention, and Harry does that. And it seems like they often use newer and younger artists to induct because it helps demonstrate the inductee's influence on subsequent generations, which is one of the criteria for induction. He wouldn't have been my first choice, but I can see where he checks a lot of the boxes.

Either way it's totally tone deaf.

No female hipsters? Really? Miley loves her, Haim, Taylor, etc.

And TONS of women who were inspired to go into music because of her-- Sheryl, Florence, Vanessa, Courtney, blah blah blah.

It's a sad yet appropriate summation of who she has become.

She is a huge influence to women. I think they should of used women/girls instead of someone from a boy band. It doesn’t seem right.

I'm actually more concerned about what her vocals are going to sound like live on TV. Did anyone catch "Stand Back" from Hyde Park that was on TV? It was really bad, vocally. Visually, she was awesome, very energetic.

I just hope she chooses the right songs. I think the "Wild Heart/Bella Donna" medley would be a perfect reflection of her solo career and a good choice for her voice. Then, a bigger hit. I would assume Edge of Seventeen?

I'm surprised at the choice of Harry Styles. I would love to have seen Chrissie Hynde. Or better yet, Waddy and Sharon and Lori. That would have been awesome.
